Abstract:In this paper we examine controllability problems of evolution inclusions with nonlocal conditions. Using Kakutani's fixed point theorem and Schauder's fixed point theorem, we establish sufficient conditions for the controllability under convex and nonconvex orientor fields respectively.

Abstract:Sufficient conditions for controllability of nonlinear integrodifferential systems in a separable Banach space with nonlocal conditions are established. The results are obtained using a compactness type hypothesis involving the Hausdorff-measure of noncompactness, Kakutani's fixed-point theorem and Schauder's fixed-point theorem.

Qualitative Theory of Dynamical Systems

Abstract:This article deals with the nonlocal problem to a class of nonlinear non-autonomous second order integro-differential evolution equation of mixed type via measure of noncompactness in infinite-dimensional Banach spaces. Based on the fixed point theorem with respect to convex-power condensing operator and a new estimation technique of the measure of noncompactness combined with the theory of evolution families to investigate the existence of mild solutions for a class of nonlinear non-autonomous second order integro-differential evolution equations with nonlocal condition in infinite-dimensional Banach spaces, we obtained the existence of mild solutions under the weak situation that the nonlinear function satisfy some appropriate growth condition and non-compactness measure condition. Our results generalize and improve some previous results on this topic, since the condition of uniformly continuity of the nonlinearity is not required, and also the strong restriction on the constants in the condition of noncompactness measure is completely deleted. Finally, an example is given to show the applications of the obtained results.

Abstract:In this paper,exact controllability and exact null controllability of infinite di- mensional linear systems are considered in non-reflexive state space and reflexive control space.For the systems governed by C-semigroups,the criteria for exact controllability and exact null controllability via controls in LP([O,T],U),1<p≤∞are obtained.For the sys- tems governed by C_0-semigroups,the authors also get a necessary and sufficient condition for exact null controllability via controls in L~P([O,T],U),1<p≤∞.Two applications are given to illustrate the abstract results.

Abstract:This paper considers the problem of exact controllability of linear control systems with compact semigroup in non-reflexive state spaces and control spaces. The weak convergence of bounded sequence of control functions with respect to the subspace of the dual space is studied and a lemma for the weak convergence is proved. Based on the lemma and the strong separation theorem, a necessary and sufficient condition for exact controllability of compact semigroups with respect to the space consisting all essentially bounded measurable functions is obtained. An example of heat equation is presented to illustrate the utility of the result. Some related problems remaining for further study are addressed.

Abstract:Motivated by infinite-dimensional optimal control problems with endpoint state constraints, in this Note, we introduce the notion of finite codimensional exact controllability for evolution equations. It is shown that this new controllability is equivalent to the finite codimensionality condition in the literatures to guarantee Pontryagin's maximum principle. As examples, LQ problems with fixed endpoint state constraints for a wave and a heat equation are analyzed, respectively.

Abstract:We establish necessary and sufficient conditions for viability of evolution inclusions with locally monotone operators in the sense of Liu and Röckner [J. Funct. Anal., 259 (2010), pp. 2902-2922]. This allows us to prove wellposedness of lower semicontinuous solutions of Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equations associated to the optimal control of evolution inclusions. Thereby, we generalize results in Bayraktar and Keller [J. Funct. Anal., 275 (2018), pp. 2096-2161] on Hamilton-Jacobi equations in infinite dimensions with monotone operators in several ways. First, we permit locally monotone operators. This extends the applicability of our theory to a wider class of equations such as Burgers' equations, reaction-diffusion equations, and 2D Navier-Stokes equations. Second, we allow state constraints. Third, we have uniqueness of viscosity solutions. Our results on viability and lower semicontinuous solutions are new even in the case of monotone operators.

Exact Null Controllability of Non-Autonomous Conformable Fractional Semi-Linear Systems with Nonlocal Conditions

Abstract:This paper investigates the existence and uniqueness of the mild solutions and the exact null controllability for a class of non-autonomous parabolic evolution systems with nonlocal conditions in Hilbert spaces. We present sufficient conditions for achieving exact null controllability in these systems using the theory of linear evolution systems and the Schauder fixed point theorem. Importantly, our results do not require the compactness or Lipschitz conditions for the function \( g \) in the nonlocal conditions, which are often needed in other studies. We also provide an example to demonstrate the practical application of our results.

Abstract:In this article, we are discussing a more vital concept of controllability, termed total controllability. We have considered a nonlocal semilinear functional evolution equation with non-instantaneous impulses and finite delay in Hilbert spaces. A set of sufficient conditions of total controllability is obtained for the evolution system under consideration by imposing the theory of -semigroup and Banach fixed point theorem. We also established the total controllability results for a functional integro-differential equation. Finally, an example demonstrates the feasibility of derived abstract results.

Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the existence of mild solutions as well as optimal controls for non-autonomous impulsive evolution equations with nonlocal conditions. Using the Schauder's fixed-point theorem as well as the theory of evolution family, we prove the existence of mild solutions for the concerned problem. Furthermore, without the Lipschitz continuity of the nonlinear term, the optimal control result is derived by setting up minimizing sequences twice. An example is given of the application of the results.

Abstract:This paper considers the problem of exact null controllability of infinite dimensional linear systems in non-reflexive state spaces and reflexive control spaces. The starting point of this paper is the work of A. Vieru (Systems & Control Lett. 54 (2005) 331-337), which obtains the characterization of exact null controllability via bounded control functions in reflexive state spaces and control spaces (see Remark 2.2 of (Systems & Control Lett. 54 (2005) 331-337)). We will show here if the state space X is a general Banach space and U is reflexive, the similar result is also valid for exact null controllability via bounded control functions, which extends the results of (Systems & Control Lett. 54 (2005) 331-337)

Abstract:The aim of the present paper is to state and discuss the well-posedness of a new evolution inclusion governed by the subdifferential of a function perturbed both by a Carathéodory mapping and by an integral forcing term. The integrand of the forcing term depends on two time-variables. We prove the existence and uniqueness of local and global solution, assuming that is primal lower regular and the perturbation terms satisfy some standard conditions. The results are applied to the study of non-regular electrical circuits with tranmission line, Zener diode and inductor. A second application is concerned with semilinear heat equation with memory. These applications illustrate an additional novelty of our paper.

Abstract:The periodic problem of evolution inclusion is studied and its results are used to establish existence theorems of periodic solutions of a class of semi-linear differential inclusion. Also existence theorem of the extreme solutions and the strong relaxation theorem are given for this class of semi-linear differential inclution. Abstract:This paper is devoted to studying a system of coupled nonlinear first order history-dependent evolution inclusions in the framework of evolution triples of spaces. The multivalued terms are of the Clarke subgradient or of the convex subdifferential form. Using a surjectivity result for multivalued maps and a fixed point argument for a history-dependent operator, we prove that the system has a unique solution. We conclude with two examples of an evolutionary differential variational-hemivariational inequality and of a dynamic frictional contact problem in mechanics, which illustrate the abstract results.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider a new kind of evolution multivalued quasi-variational inequalities with feedback effect and a nonlinear bifunction which contain several (evolution) quasi-variational/hemivariational inequalities as special cases. The main contribution of this paper is twofold. The first goal is to establish a novel framework for proving the existence of solutions and the compactness of solution set to the evolution multivalued quasi-variational inequalities, under quite mild assumptions. Whereas, the second contribution is to introduce and study a nonlinear and nonsmooth optimal control problem governed by an evolution multivalued quasi-variational inequality, and then to obtain the sufficient conditions for guaranteeing the solvability of the nonlinear and nonsmooth optimal control problem under consideration. Such nonlinear and nonsmooth optimal control problem could as a useful model to explore the simultaneous distributed-boundary optimal control problems driven by evolution multivalued quasi-variational inequalities, and optimal parameters identification for evolution multivalued quasi-variational inequalities.
