Abstract:The entrepreneurship education in Chinese higher institutions has accumulated some experience after ten years of development.However,compared with the great demands of the social economic in China,the development of entrepreneurship education still lags far behind.University students have weak entrepreneurship intention and ability,and also lack entrepreneurship knowledge.Therefore,entrepreneurship education in Chinese higher education institutions should adopt the development idea featuring "concept guidance,classification construction and system guarantee",and establish tridimensional entrepreneurship educational outlook,pay special attention to the construction of teacher team and curriculum which are the two core links,as well as establish the supporting system to promote the optimum development of entrepreneurship education.

Abstract:The economic transition in China since the late 1970s has led to not only drastic social transformations but also rapid advancements in science and technology, as well as the revolution in information and communications technology. In order to enhance the global competence of the Chinese population in coping with the challenges of a knowledge-based economy, the higher education sector has been going through restructuring along the lines of marketization, privatization and decentralization. Responding to the the challenges of globalization, the Chinese government has opened up the education market by allowing overseas universities to offer programmes on the mainland. This article sets out in this wider policy context to examine the current developments of transnational higher education in China, with particular reference to how students in Zhejiang province enrolling in these overseas programmes, especially those offered by Australian providers, evaluate their learning experiences. This article will also discuss the major concerns raised by the respondents in our study regarding the newly emerging transnational higher education programmes, with particular reference to examining how far these new programmes would affect the regulatory framework in Chinese higher education.

Abstract:Higher education internationalization is a fundamental path for developing countries to construct world class universities; and valuation of current activity is the premise in promoting China higher education internationalization. Based on international business and educational management theory, this paper proposes an analytical framework for classification of higher education internationalization, and valuates the current situation of China higher education internationalization comprehensively. The research results are: First, The categorization of China higher education internationalization should combine the direction dimension with the form dimension ;Second, There is still room for quality improvement for China higher education inward internationalization; China higher education outward internationalization is undeveloped ; Third,Student mobility is the dominant form of China higher education outward internationalization; Fourth, The continual interplay between inward and outward internationalization will promote the enhancement of China higher education internationalization.

Abstract:This paper intends to learn from international experiences in order to facilitating China's ongoing regional university transformation with an ultimate goal to enhance the role of university in regional economic development and innovation. In so doing, this paper compares major models of universities of applied sciences (UAS) around the world from the perspective of the Triple Helix Model with an emphasis on the nature of university-industry relation implied by each model, and then exploring their relevance for China's UASs transformation. It is concluded that the Finnish model is the most relevant to China. By comparing the Finnish and Chinese practices, a number of recommendations are solicited to Chinese policy-makers.

Abstract:This study examines the influx of international students to China in recent years and the corresponding internationalization strategies in the higher education sector. In assessing international students’ learning and socio-cultural experiences in Chinese universities, we review the development of internationalization of China’s higher education from the perspective of inbound international students and the national strategy to develop the country’s soft power and international competitiveness. Data from a nationwide census of international students and the Survey of International Students’ Experience and Satisfaction suggest that China is gradually becoming a key higher education destination for developing countries, particularly for students from neighboring Asian countries. Major challenges for international students include limited English resources, inadequate student-faculty interaction on campus, and difficulties in socio-cultural adjustment. This study outlines the key strengths and limitations of the internationalization of higher education in China and also provides directions for future research in this regard.

Abstract:Purpose: The purpose of this article is (1) to provide a critical analysis of the Finnish experience of education reforms based on published Chinese research on Finnish education and (2) to discuss how such experience can serve as a model as China embarks on its own path toward educational reform. Design/Approach/Methods: This article is based on an analysis of the research on Finnish education contained in the Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure database from 2000 to 2017. Findings: The analysis shows that although the various aspects of Finnish education have been extensively studied in China, the content of prior studies has generally been similar and is insufficiently in depth. In particular, current research (1) lacks effective exploration of the successful experience of Finnish education reform and (2) devotes insufficient attention to the social culture perspective and core concepts that serve as the basis of education in Finland. Originality/Value: This article extends the authors’ recent review of Chinese research on Finnish education and places special emphasis on the discussions regarding how China can learn from Finland’s experience with educational reform. It also identifies gaps in the current research in the field and calls for a change in the future research agenda from examining the successful elements of Finnish education to focusing on how the experience of Finnish education is relevant to reforms in China.

Abstract:Abstract Internationalization of higher education viewed as an engine towards development of any country. National governments around the world adopted different strategies to internationalize their higher education. The current study aimed to understand the approaches towards internationalization of higher education in China. In this study 26 published articles were deeply reviewed and analyzed so as to unpack the approaches towards internationalization of higher education in China. The findings highlighted main five approaches towards internationalization of higher education in China (i) recruiting quality and diversity international students through providing scholarship and delivering quality services (ii) widening chances for Chinese students to study different programs abroad (iii) international universities collaborations or partnership, jointly researches and innovative international programs, (iv) strengthening recruitment process of excellent international academics to higher education and strongly encouraging domestic academics to go abroad for researches and (v) increasing of budget to finance higher education, international activities, international programs like English language program and Chinese culture program. Future studies should concentrate on understanding the approaches towards internationalization of higher education in other countries.

Abstract:<p>Internationalization has become a new landmark of Chinese higher education, measured by indicators such as personnel mobility, number of offshore/joint programs, and international publications. Chinese universities have moved from isolation to the forefront of internationalization in a short timeline and amid the dramatic expansion of Chinese higher education to a mass system since the late 1990s. This has set the context of the internationalization discourse. At the same time, Chinese upper- and middle-class families increasingly choose not to send their offspring to Chinese universities, but rather to study abroad. These developments add up to a puzzle as to how internationalization has helped lift the standards of Chinese higher education. Drawing on the glonacal agency heuristic, resource dependency theory, and the Ethical Internationalism in Higher Education (EIHE) perspective, this paper utilizes the case study of two Chinese universities to address such two research questions: (1) How have Chinese universities managed to rise so dramatically in terms of internationalization? and (2) Why do they embrace internationalization so enthusiastically and how does this benefit them?</p>

Abstract:Chinese youth who go abroad to study often face difficulties caused by differences in the education system and language communication. This study is based on qualitative research methods and adopts purposive sampling method. Through in-depth interviews, this study aims to understand the current situation of Chinese international students' overseas study experience from their perspective. Combining student development theory, it explores the influencing factors of Chinese international students' overseas study experience. The paper proposes suggestions from both schools and students, providing reference for improving the quality of international student education and enhancing the international competitiveness of international student education in universities.

Abstract:Internationalisation is becoming the main catalyst for the development of higher education in China. Through document analysis, this study explores the concept of internationalisation by examining the role of the Chinese government and student mobility. The study argues that internationalisation of higher education in China is directed by the government with financial and diplomatic leverages. The government exerts significant influence on higher education institutions (HEIs) through legislation, funding, planning and evaluation. Furthermore, the study notes that internationalisation of higher education is providing China with economic and cultural capital. However, there still is a lot of work to be done to advance the internationalisation process of Chinese HEIs. The HEIs need to further strengthen and expand their international programmes. They should also provide adequate social and academic services to international students, and promote Chinese–international student interaction.

Abstract:Global competition is currently reshaping higher education worldwide. Hungarian and Chinese higher education institutions are increasingly channeling resources to higher education development to promote the internationalization of higher education. There have been few studies specified differences between Hungarian and Chinese higher education internationalization. Over the past few years, both Hungarian and Chinese governments have started to prioritize raising international student mobility to enhance countries’ competitiveness at the global level. This article outlines the definition of higher education internationalization to provide a comprehensive understanding of this term. This article also briefly describes the background of higher education in Hungary and China and compares determinants of higher education internationalization between the two countries, particularly focusing on the context of international student mobility. This article summarizes and compares higher education internationalization indicators between Hungary and China. This article contributes to a better understanding of the development of higher education internationalization in Hungary and China.

Abstract:With China’s entry into WTO, China’s trade in higher education services has developed rapidly. In addition to the highly developed economy, the broad market prospect has attracted more and more foreign students. However, China’s current trade in higher education services is still at the initial stage of development, showing an obvious trade deficit. From the perspective of international comparison, this study combs the development process of education service trade in major developed countries, summarizes the general rules and basic modes of its development, discusses various factors that affect the competitiveness of its national education service trade, thus analyzing the development characteristics and international competitiveness of education service trade in major developed countries, and summarizing the relevant experience and enlightenment of the development of education service trade in major developed countries. On this basis, the current situation of China’s higher education service trade is comprehensively combed, the main problems existing in China’s higher education service trade are analyzed, and reasonable ways to improve the competitiveness of China’s higher education service trade are put forward from aspects of perfecting the legislative content of higher education service trade, formulating development plans and policies, and strengthening the construction of education service institutions themselves.
