Abstract:Two new species of the feather mite genus Analloptes Trouessart, 1885 (Xolalgidae: Ingrassiinae) are described from birds in China: Analloptes turnicis Mu and Wang sp. nov. ex barred buttonquail, Turnix suscitator (Gmelin, 1789) (Charadriiformes: Turnicidae) from Guizhou; and A. qujingensis Su and Wang sp. nov. ex redbilled chough, Pyrrhocorax pyrrhocorax (Linnaeus, 1758) (Passeriformes: Corvidae) from Yunnan. Two previously known species are redescribed based on the material from their type hosts collected from China: Analloptes megnini Trouessart, 1885 ex water rail, Rallus aquaticus (Linnaeus, 1758) (Gruiformes: Rallidae) from Yunnan, and Dubininia melopsittaci Atyeo and Gaud, 1987 ex budgerigar, Melopsittacus undulatus (Shaw, 1805) (Psittaciformes: Psittaculidae) from Guizhou.

Abstract:Arge albocaudalica Wei,Yan et He,sp.nov.is described from China.This new spccies is similar to Arge xanthogaster (Cameron,1876),but differs from the latter as follow:1)abdomen black brown,the 8th-10th abdominal tergites and ovipositor sheath yeUowish wlfite;2)petiole of hind anal cell distinctly shorter than cell M;3)the two nalTow middle inclsiom of sheath distinctly shorter than apical width of each lobe of sheath in dorsal view;4)lancet with 14 serrulae,the 2nd to 8th annuli each with about 9 lobe-like large sphles,length of the longest spine in the 2nd annulus about 3/4 breadth of the annulus,the length of the longest spine in the 8th annulus as long 88 breadth of the annulus.A key to known spedes of Arge xanthogaster group from East Asia s provided.

Abstract:In the present paper, two new species of the Family Diaspididae from China are described. All of the type specimens are deposited in the Entomological Museum of the Northwest Sci-Tech University of Agriculture and Forestry. 1. Pinnaspis pseudotuberculatus, sp. nov. (Fig. 1) The new species is similar to P. tuberculatus Tang 1986 and P. frontalis Takagi 1970. but differs from the latters by the following characters: 1)submaginal glands present on each of the third to fifth abdominal segments 7-9, 6-8, 3-6; but P. tuberculatus on the third and forth abdominal segments 0-4, 0-3; and P. frontalis on the forth and fifth abdominal segments, one on each; 2) minute ducts in submedian area present on segments 3 and 4, while P. tuberculatus present on segments 2 to 4, P. frontalis has no minute duct in submedian. Holotype: ♀, Dawei mountain, Hekou, Yunnan Province, China, 10-Ⅶ-1974, collected by CHOU Io and YUAN Feng, Host: Abutilon theophrasti Medicus.(No. 74324);Paratypes: 10♀♀,same data as the holotype. 2. Duplachionaspis yunnanensis, sp. nov. (Fig.2) This new species resembles D. subtilis Borchsenius 1958, but is easily distinguished by the following characters:1) submarginal dorsal ducts present on each of the second to fifth abdominal segments, but the latter on the second to sixth abdominal segments;2) posterior spiracle without disc pore, the latter with 8-12 disc pores. Holotype: ♀, Dawei mountain, Hekou, Yunnan Province, China, 10-Ⅶ-1974, collected by CHOU Io and YUAN Feng, Host: Ficus carica L.(No. 74323);Paratypes: 3♀♀,same data as the holotype.

Abstract:In the present paper,two new species of Acridoidea are described.Type specimens are kept in the Institute of Zoology,Shaanxi Normal University. 1 Chorthippus beianensis sp.nov.(Figs.1-2)This new species is allied to Chorthippus genheensis Li et Yin,1987,but differs in:1) length of middle segments of antennae about 2.5 times as its width; 2) in male,width of medial area of elytra 4 times as cubital area; 3) in male,hind wing only reaching half of elytra; 4) in female,elytra only reaching hind margin of third abdominal tergum; 5) only upper kneelobe of hind femur black.Length of body:♂ 12-13?mm,♀ 17.5-20.0?mm.Length of pronotum:♂ 2.7-3.0?mm,♀ 4-5?mm.Length of elytra:♂ 8-9?mm,♀ 4.5-6.5?mm.Length of hind femur:♂ 9-10?mm,♀ 11-12?mm.Holotype ♂,Heilongjiang(Bei'an)(48°2′N,126°3′E),28 Aug.2006,collected by SUN Hui-Min.Paratypes:1♂,7♀♀,same data as holotype; 2♂♂,Heilongjiang(Bei'an),27 Aug.2006,collected by SUN Hui-Min.Etymology.The specific name is derived from the type locality-Beian,Heilongjiang Province. 2 Confusacris amplicubitus sp.nov.(Figs.3-6)This new species resembles Confusacris brachypterus Yin et Li,1987,but differs in:1) length of middle segments of antennae about 3-4 times(♂) or 2 times(♀) as its width; 2) the narrowest width of interspace of mesosternal lobes equal to(♂) or 1.4 times as its length; 3) in male,elytra reaching extending over the middle of hind femur; 4) in male,width of cubital area 2.3 times as medial area; 5) in female only radial area of elytra black,without pale stripe; 6) kneelobes of hind femur and basal part of hind tibia not black.Length of body:♂ 17.5?mm,♀ 25-27?mm.Length of pronotum:♂4?mm,♀ 4.5-6.0?mm.Length of elytra:♂8?mm,♀ 5-6?mm.Length of hind femur:♂8?mm; ♀ 13-14?mm.Holotype ♂,Jilin(Erdao Baihe)(42°5′N, 128°2′E), 24 Aug.2006,collected by SUN Hui-Min.Paratypes 4♀♀,same data as holotype.Etymology.The specific name is derived from the Latin amp and cubitus,referring the cubitus area very wide.

Abstract:The feather mite genus Proctophyllodes Robin, 1868 (Analgoidea: Proctophyllodidae) is the most speciose genus in this family, with 181 species placed in 12 species groups. Currently, only 13 species of Proctophyllodes from Passeriformes were recorded in China: P. anthi Vitzthum, 1922, P. ceratophyllus Atyeo & Braasch, 1966, P. garrula Wang, Wang & Su, 2014, P. canora Wang, Wang & Su, 2014, P. scleroticus Zhang, Chen & Wang, 2021, P. glandarinus Atyeo & Braasch, 1966, P. flexuosa Wang, Wang & Su, 2014, P. troncatus Robin, 1877, P. sinensis Gaud & Atyeo, 1976 stat. n., P. vegetans Trouessart, 1899, P. brevis Wang, Wang & Su, 2014, P. weigoldi Vitzthum, 1922 and P. micrurus Zhang, Chen & Wang, 2021. Herein we describe one new species and redescribe P. weigoldi Vitzthum, 1922 from a newly recorded host for the genus Proctophyllodes from two passerines in China, Ixos mcclellandii (Horsfield) (Pycnonotidae) and Poecile montanus (Baldenstein) (Paridae).

Abstract:Five new species of salticids were collected from China: Synagelidesemangou Liu, sp. nov. (♂, ♀) from Gansu province, and S.jinding Liu, sp. nov. (♂), S.serratus Liu, sp. nov. (♂, ♀), S.shuqiang Liu, sp. nov. (♂), and S.triangulatus Liu, sp. nov. (♀) from Jiangxi Province. All species are described and illustrated with photographs and SEM micrographs, and their distributions are also mapped.

Abstract:A new species of the genus Andaspis is described from China.The type specimens are preserved in the Entomological Museum,Northwest A F University.Andaspis keteleeriae sp.nov.(Figs.1-5)This species appears to be especially close to Andaspis mori Ferris, 1952,but may differ from the latter mainly in the following characters:1) in having fewer gland spines on abd Ⅰ-Ⅳ,in having fewer dorsal ducts on pygidium; 2) a deep serrate located on the outer margin of median lobe,which is divided into two nearly equal parts.whereas the latter:1) in having more numerous gland spines on abd Ⅰ-Ⅳ,in having more numerous dorsal ducts on pygidium; 2) the outer margin of median lobe no deep serrate.Holotype ♀,collected off Keteleeria fortunei,in Aug.1975,from Kunming City,Yunnan Province,by ZHANG Zhi-Zhong.Paratypes 2♀♀,same data as holotype.

Abstract:Two new species of the genus Mongolotettix Rehn, 1928 from China, i.e. Mongolotettix wulingyuanensis sp. nov. and Mongolotettix. shaanxiensis sp. nov. are described herein. M. wulingyuanensis sp. nov. is similar to M. angustiseptus Wan, Ren & Zhang, 1998, but differs from the latter by body larger, length of body ♂ 25.6 mm, ♀ 39.1mm; tegmina of male without a white stripe on the fore margin at base; subgenital plate of male conical, sides concave, apex acute; both outer sides of epiphallus without acute projection in the middle. M. shaanxiensis sp. nov. is similar to M. anomopterus (Caudell, 1921), but differs from the latter by tegmina of male longer, reaching the end of epiproct, without a white stripe on the fore margin at base, tegmina of female longer, reaching the middle of 2nd abdominal tergum, width of epiphallus larger than height, upper ovipositor valve slender, length 3.8 times its maximum width. A key to all nine known species of the genus from China is given. Type specimens are deposited in the Northwest Plateau Institute of Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Xining, 810001, China.

Abstract:Three new species of the feather mite genus Proterothrix Gaud, 1968 (Proctophyllodidae: Pterodectinae) are described from passerines (Aves: Passeriformes) in China: Proterothrix angusticorporis sp. n. from the Chestnut-tailed Minla Actinodura strigula (Hodgson, 1837) (Leiothrichidae), P. disulcatus sp. n. from the Spectacled Fulvetta Fulvetta ruficapilla (Verreaux, J, 1871) (Paradoxornithidae), P. ianthocinclae sp. n. from the Spotted Laughingthrush Ianthocincla ocellata (Vigors, 1831) (Leiothrichidae). All three new species belong to the paradoxornis species group, which males are characterized by setae e of tarsi Ⅰ thickened, usually spindle-shaped, and the whip-like aedeagus.

Abstract:A new species of Argidae is described from Zhejiang,China:Athermantus melanoptera Wei sp.nov.This new species is similar to A.leucopilosus Wen & Wei,2002,but differs from it by the body hairs black;the upper of hind orbit clearly broader than eye in lateral view;pterostigma entirely black;vein R of fore wing clearly shorter than vein R+M;valviceps of penis valve narrow and hardly oblique,about 3.5 times as long as broad.A key to species of Athermantus Kirby,1882 is also provided.
