Study on Treatment of Fecal Sewage by Biological/Chemical Process

Abstract:Regarding to the high concentrations of nitrogen,phosphorus and organic matters in fecal sewage,the productive research on treatment of fecal sewage by biological/chemical process was performed. The results show that when the influent concentrations of COD,NH3-N and TP are 20 000 to 40 000 mg/L,500 to 700 mg/L and 30 to 60 mg/L,the effluent concentrations of COD,NH3-N and TP can be decreased to 60 to 100 mg/L,7 to 15 mg/L and 0.3 to 0.5 mg/L respectively. The effluent color is 20 to 30 times. The effluent quality meets the first class criteria specified in the Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard (GB 8978-1996).
