Abstract:We construct integral representations of solutions to the boundary quantum Knizhnik–Zamolodchikov equations. These are difference equations taking values in tensor products of Verma modules of quantum affine sl2, with the K-operators acting diagonally. The integrands in question are products of scalar-valued elliptic weight functions with vector-valued trigonometric weight functions (boundary Bethe vectors). These integrals give rise to a basis of solutions of the boundary qKZ equations over the field of quasi-constant meromorphic functions in weight subspaces of the tensor product.

Abstract:Solutions to boundary quantum Knizhnik–Zamolodchikov equations are constructed as bilateral sums involving “off-shell” Bethe vectors in case the reflection matrix is diagonal and only the 2-dimensional representation of ${{\mathcal{U}}_q(\widehat{{\mathfrak{sl}}}_2)}$ is involved. We also consider their rational and classical degenerations.

Abstract:This paper establishes a version of Nevanlinna theory based on Jackson difference operator $D_{q}f(z)=frac{f(qz)-f(z)}{qz-z}$ for meromorphic functions of zero order in the complex plane $mathbb{C}$. We give the logarithmic difference lemma, the second fundamental theorem, the defect relation, Picard theorem and five-value theorem in sense of Jackson $q$-difference operator. By using this theory, we investigate linear Jackson $q$-difference equations $D^{k}_{q}f(z)+A(z)f(z)=0$, where $D^k_q$ is Jackson $k$-th order difference operator, and estimate the logarithmic order of some $q$-functions.

Abstract:This paper has two purposes. One is to establish a version of Nevanlinna theory based on the historic so-called Jackson difference operator D_qf(z) = f(qz) - f(z)qz - z for meromorphic functions of zero order in the complex plane ℂ. We give the logarithmic difference lemma, the second fundamental theorem, the defect relation, Picard theorem, five-value theorem and Wiman-Valiron theorem in sense of Jackson q -difference operator, which keep consistent with the classical Nevanlinna theory. The other is, by using this theory, to investigate entire solutions of linear q -difference equations concerning Jackson difference operators. We will study the growth of entire solutions of linear Jackson q -difference equations D_q^kf(z) + A(z)f(z) = 0 with meromorphic coefficient A , where D_q^k is Jackson k -th order difference operator, and then to estimate the logarithmic order of some q -special functions. Further, we show that the growth of order of all admissible meromorphic solutions f of a general linear nonhomogeneous q -difference equations A_n(z)D_q^nf(z) + ⋯ + A_1(z)D_qf(z) + A_0(z)f(z) = F(z) should be positive if δ (0, f ) > 0.

Abstract:Methods are considered for applying an algebra with bilinear commutation relations to the theory of quantum integrable systems. This survey describes most of the results obtained in this area over the last twenty years, mainly in connection with the computation of correlation functions of quantum integrable systems. Methods for constructing eigenfunctions of the quantum transfer matrix and computing inner products and correlation functions are presented in detail. An example of application of the general scheme to the model of the Heisenberg chain is considered.

Abstract:We give a connection formula for the Jackson integral of Riemann-Papperitz type. This includes a solution of the connection problem for the variant of $q$-hypergeometric equation of degree three introduced by Hatano-Matsunawa-Sato-Takemura. Using this formula we show a linear relation for the Kajihara's $q$-hypergeometric series $W^{M,2}$, whose $q$-difference equation is recently obtained by one of the author.

Abstract:In literature one can find many generalizations of the usual Leibniz derivative, such as Jackson derivative, Tsallis derivative and Hausdorff derivative. In this article we present a connection between Jackson derivative and recently proposed Hausdorff derivative. On one hand, the Hausdorff derivative has been previously associated with non-extensivity in systems presenting fractal aspects. On the other hand, the Jackson derivative has a solid mathematical basis because it is the $\overline{q}$-analog of the ordinary derivative and it also arises in quantum calculus. From a quantum deformed $\overline{q}$-algebra we obtain the Jackson derivative and then address the problem of $N$ non-interacting quantum oscillators. We perform an expansion in the quantum grand partition function from which we obtain a relationship between the parameter $\overline{q}$, related to Jackson derivative, and the parameters $\zeta$ and $q$ related to Hausdorff derivative and Tsallis derivative, respectively.

Abstract:We consider an $XYZ$ spin chain within the framework of the generalized algebraic Bethe ansatz. We study scalar products of the transfer matrix eigenvectors and arbitrary Bethe vectors. In the particular case of free fermions we obtain explicit expressions for the scalar products with different number of parameters in two Bethe vectors.

Abstract:We show that Shakirov's non-stationary difference equation, when it is truncated, implies the quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov ($q$-KZ) equation for $U_{\mathsf v}\bigl(A_1^{(1)}\bigr)$ with generic spins. Namely, we can tune mass parameters so that the Hamiltonian acts on the space of finite Laurent polynomials. Then the representation matrix of the Hamiltonian agrees with the $R$-matrix, or the quantum $6j$ symbols. On the other hand, we prove that the $K$ theoretic Nekrasov partition function from the affine Laumon space is identified with the well-studied Jackson integral solution to the $q$-KZ equation. Combining these results, we establish that the affine Laumon partition function gives a solution to Shakirov's equation, which was a conjecture in our previous paper. We also work out the base-fiber duality and four-dimensional limit in relation with the $q$-KZ equation.

Asymmetric Bethe Ansatz

Abstract:The recently proposed exact quantum solution for two $\delta$-function-interacting particles with a mass-ratio $3\!:\!1$ in a hard-wall box [Y. Liu, F. Qi, Y. Zhang and S. Chen, iScience 22, 181 (2019)] violates the conventional necessary condition for a Bethe Ansatz integrability, the condition being that the system must be reducible to a superposition of semi-transparent mirrors that is invariant under all the reflections it generates. In this article, we found a way to relax this condition: some of the semi-transparent mirrors of a known self-invariant mirror superposition can be replaced by the perfectly reflecting ones, thus breaking the self-invariance. The proposed name for the method is \emph{Asymmetric Bethe Ansatz} (Asymmetric BA). As a worked example, we study in detail the bound states of the nominally non-integrable system comprised of a bosonic dimer in a $\delta$-well. Finally, we show that the exact solution of the Liu-Qi-Zhang-Chen problem is a particular instance of the the Asymmetric BA.

Abstract:We give an integral representation for Kajihara's $q$-hypergeometric series $W^{M,2}$. We construct a $q$-difference system that corresponds to this integral. This system is an extension of the variant of $q$-hypergeometric equation of degree three, defined by Hatano-Matsunawa-Sato-Takemura. We show that this system includes the $q$-Appell-Lauricella system as a degeneration.

Abstract:We study the relationship between integrable Landau-Zener (LZ) models and Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov (KZ) equations. The latter are originally equations for the correlation functions of two-dimensional conformal field theories, but can also be interpreted as multi-time Schrödinger equations. The general LZ problem is to find the probabilities of tunneling from eigenstates at $t=t_\text{in}$ to the eigenstates at $t\to+\infty$ for an $N\times N$ time-dependent Hamiltonian $\hat H(t)$. A number of such problems are exactly solvable in the sense that the tunneling probabilities are elementary functions of Hamiltonian parameters and time-dependent wavefunctions are special functions. It has recently been proposed that exactly solvable LZ models map to KZ equations. Here we use this connection to identify and solve various integrable hyperbolic LZ models $\hat H(t)=\hat A+\hat B/t$ for $N=2, 3$, and $4$, where $\hat A$ and $\hat B$ are time-independent matrices. Some of these models have been considered, though not fully solved, before and others are entirely new.

Abstract:We present exactly solvable modifications of the two-matrix Zinn-Justin-Zuber model and write it as a tau function. The grand partition function of these matrix integrals is written as the fermion expectation value. The perturbation theory series is written out explicitly in terms of series in strict partitions. Abstract:In this paper, we investigate the integrability of a (2+1)-dimensional generalized KdV equation. In virtue of the Weiss–Tabor–Carnevale method and Kruskal ansatz, this equation can pass the Painlevé test. The truncated Painlevé expansion leads to the Bäcklund transformation and rational solutions. The bilinear Bäcklund transformation and Bell-polynomial-typed Bäcklund transformation are constructed with the Hirota bilinear method and Bell polynomials. It is proved that the (2+1)-dimensional generalized KdV equation can be regarded as an integrable model in sense of infinite conservation laws. The formula of N -soliton solutions is given and verified with the Hirota condition. The study of integrability provides theoretical guidance for solving equations and gives the possibility of the existence of exact solutions.

Abstract:We construct the boundary algebraic Bethe ansatz for the $AdS_3 \times S^3 \times T^4$ integrable reflection problem restricted to the massless sector. We derive the double-row monodromy and find the appropriate formulation of the so-called {\it dual} equation of Sklyanin's. We perform the algebraic Bethe ansatz based on Sklyanin's recipe, and obtain the RTT (more properly RTRT) relations, from which the spectrum is obtained by repeated action of the $B$ operator on the pseudovacuum. We obtain the Bethe equations by cancelling the unwanted terms, and provide conjectures for the exact formulas for any number of quantum particles and magnonic excitations.
