Abstract:Based on the knowledge-based theory, this paper develops a theoretical model that links tie strength, co-operative modes, and knowledge creation. To empirical test the model, relevant hypotheses and the moderate ef-fect of environmental uncertainty between tie strength and knowledge creation of enterprise, a sample of 305 Chi-nese manufacturing enterprises and the empirical analysis method were used. Results show that tie strength has a significantly positive influence on knowledge creation of enterprise and the equity-based cooperative mode has a greater effect on knowledge creation than the contractual-based cooperative mode. Further, the relationship between tie strength and knowledge creation is partially mediated by the equity-based cooperation mode. The results also in-dicate that environmental uncertainty has strengthened the positive relationship between ties strength and coopera-tion models, namely market uncertainty has a positive moderating effect between tie strength and equity-based co-operative mode, technological uncertainty has a positive moderating effect between tie strength and contractual-based cooperative mode.
