Abstract:The SWH system, which refers to solar water heating system, is getting popular in recent years. Despite the wide range of application, the incorporate design of SWH system with high-rise residential building stays problematic due to the lack of comprehensive design and calculation system, there is much to be improved in terms of programming, system and parameter selection, calculation system and the management of the SWH system. This paper mainly discusses the principle of design and calculation of SWH system, a real high-rise residential building project in the city of Guilin is set as an example .With the help of it, the design of SWH system in the stage of blueprint, the selection of hot water system and climate data, the calculation method of SWH system, and the importance and necessity of using monthly-based data to design the SWH system will be elaborated in detail. This paper also expects to be helpful to the construction of other SWH projects in China.

Abstract:On the basis of analyzing of the coupling relationship among variations in the heating system,and in accordance with the control requirements,the paper presents a basic control strategy in which the heating system is divided into several subsystems to be controlled respectively under the premise of effective decoupling.The control program of the variable flow heating system has been designed.Hardware configuration with IPC as the superordinate computer and PLC as the subordinate system,as well as the software design method are introduced.The design of PID control procedures,and the interrupted procedures are described in detail.

Regulation of the Output Temperature in a Novel Water Heating System Using Solid Graphite As Sensible Heat Thermal Energy Storage Medium: Effects of Water Tank

Abstract:The quality of output temperature is one of the key parameters for the reliability of water heating system. In this work a simulation work was done to regulate the output temperature in a novel water heating system using solid graphite as thermal energy storage medium. The effects of water tank on the quality of output temperature was considered. Two different strategies were thus considered: (i) single tank system, and (ii) double-tank system. And two different working conditions were analyzed: (i) standard design condition, and (ii) demand change conditions. The results showed that the application of water tanks can reduce the standard deviation of output temperature by 68.49% and 68.81% under the standard design condition, respectively. And the improvement is highly related to the capacity of hot water tank. For the demand change condition, the regulation strategy was carried out based on the criterion of heat power equilibrium. The results showed that the single tank system will deteriorate the reliability of water heating for demand change condition, though it can reduce the oscillation of the output temperature. For the double-tank system, a two-step adjustment method was applied. The results showed that the average output temperature can be quite close to the target value when demand ratio changes to 0.8 and 0.9. And the standard deviation of temperature has also reduced by 24.19% and 63.06%, respectively.

Abstract:Counts and analyses about three hundred literatures and related standards at home and abroad including product standards,design specifications and academic research papers. The results show that the names used for the multi-split air conditioner are disorder and to a great extent irrational. Expounds that it is necessary to unify the names. Proposes unified Chinese and English terms for multi-split air conditioning (heat pump) system and multi-split air conditioning (heat pump) unit.

Abstract:In order to facilitate and propose further international standardization of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) terminology, this article applies methods of historiography, philology and descriptive study to divide the history of TCM into three phases, based on representative experts and social events; to illustrate different aspects of these experts and their translation principles and standards and to discuss associated factors and inherent problems. The authors find that the development of a terminology standard for TCM has generally progressed from early approaches that were ill-suited to the contemporary needs to culturally and professionally referenced approaches, from uncoordinated research to systematic studies, and from individual works to collaborative endeavors. The present international standards of TCM terminology have been attained through the work of numerous scholars and experts in the history of the field. The authors are optimistic that a more comprehensive and recognized standard will come out soon.

Abstract:Improving the energy performance of the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) system is a key issue for building energy conversation. IEA (International Energy Agency) EBC (Energy in Buildings and Communities) Annex 59 presents a new perspective and a new concept to analyze the HVAC system in buildings. The project is organized following the idea of reducing mixing loss and transfer loss, and the work subtasks are arranged in response to the current insufficiency or inadequateness of HVAC system. Temperature level and temperature difference ΔT are emphasized in heating and cooling systems for buildings as well as heating/cooling capacity Q. Four subtasks are organized under the framework of Annex 59 dealing with different aspects of high temperature cooling (HTC) and low temperature heating (LTH) systems. Subtask A focuses on the principles and methodology. Entransy dissipation ΔEn and equivalent thermal resistance R are recommended as indexes to investigate the transfer characteristics of an air-conditioning system. The objective of subtask B is to propose suitable indoor terminals from the viewpoint of avoiding mixing loss in spaces. Subtask C focuses on outdoor air handling process, especially for treatment of moisture. Subtask D focuses on total system analysis including case studies, with an objective to design HTC and LTH system appropriately. The present analysis is beneficial to cast light on the Annex 59 project and propose novel approaches for performance optimization of air-conditioning systems.

Abstract:Standard effective temperature (SET) is a commonly used index in thermal comfort evaluation. It was established based on two-node model which could reflect thermal regulation process of human body. The misunderstanding and confusion of SET are always existed as its definition and calculation method are relatively complex and have been revised several times since proposed. It is necessary to analyse and unify the application of SET index thoroughly. This study reviewed the development process of the SET, and interpreted its definition and calculation based on Gagge's 1986 paper. As the results, the correct definition and equivalent conditions of SET standard environment were proposed, and the modifications on calculation methods were conducted. It's pointed out that the clothing insulation and the air velocity of the standard environment were not of the fixed values but the functions of the actual metabolic rate. Explorations on calculation time length and adaptive items values of SET were carried out. And the advantages, problems and future development directions of SET index were discussed. A more reasonable understanding and application of the SET could support better thermal environment construction and prediction.
