Abstract:Mesoscopic superposition states of photons can be prepared in three cavities interacting with the same two-level atom. By periodically modulating the three cavity frequencies around the transition frequency of the atom with a 2π/3 phase difference, the time reversal symmetry is broken and an optical circulator is generated with chiralities depending on the quantum state of the atom. A superposition of the atomic states can guide photons from one cavity to a mesoscopic superposition of the other two cavities. The physics can be understood in a finite spin-orbit-coupled Fock-state lattice where the atom and the cavities carry the spin and the orbit degrees of freedom, respectively. This scheme can be realized in circuit QED architectures and provides a new platform for exploring quantum information and topological physics in novel lattices.

Abstract:We study the entanglement of entangled coherent states in vacuum environment by employing the entanglement of formation and propose a scheme to probabilistically teleport a coherent superposition state via entangled coherent states. The mean fidelity of the scheme is then investigated and the optimal amplitude of the teleported state found.

Abstract:Following the principle outlined by Karlsson and Bourennane [Phys. Rev. A 56, 5394(1998)], we propose an experimentally feasible scheme for the teleportation of an unknown atomic state among three high-Q cavities containing a nonlocal quantum superposition of microwave field states, in which the unknown atomic state can be completely teleported to either of two locations. This scheme can also be used for the teleportation of a cavity field in a superposition of zero- and one-photon Fock states.

Abstract:A scheme for teleporting a superposition of zero- and one-photon and entangled photon states. It is based on atom–cavity-mode Raman interaction and only singlet atomic states and photon number measurement with the help of classical information. In the two procedures, successful probabilities are all 50%. Finally, a method for generating the tripartite entangled photon number states is shown.

Abstract:A scheme is proposed for the teleportation of atomic states within cavities. The scheme is insensitive to the cavity field states and cavity decay. The teleportation may be achieved in a simple way. We show how the idea can be used to generate multiatom entangled states. In order to entangle it atoms, we require n - 1 cavities and allow the first cavity to exchange energy with the environment. The other n - 2 cavities are always in the vacuum state and thus the cavity decay is suppressed.

Abstract:In this paper, we propose a protocol for long-distance quantum teleportation of the unknown state of an atom trapped in an optical cavity to a second atom trapped in another distant optical cavity with the help of the cross-Kerr nonlinearity. The setup involves cavities QEDs and linear optical elements, which are feasible with existing experimental technology. More over, in Lame-Dicke limit, the protocol does not require the simultaneous click of the detectors. These make the protocol more realizable in experiments. We also show that the protocol can be successfully realized with a certain probability.

Abstract:We propose a scheme for long-distance teleportation of an unknown atomic state between two atoms that are trapped separately in optical cavities. Our scheme is based on the effects of quantum statistics of indistinguishable photons emitted from the trapped atoms. In this scheme, the probability of success is independent of the state to be teleported. Moreover, in the Lamb-Dicke limit, the requirement of the simultaneous clicks of the detectors is not necessary.

Abstract:An experimentally feasible scheme is proposed for the teleportation of an atomic state and of a two-atom entangled state within the microwave cavity quantum electrodynamics with unit probability of success. Our scheme is based on the interaction between atoms and a single-mode nonresonant cavity with the assistance of a strong classical driving field. Thus the teleportation. scheme is insensitive to the thermal state. Abstract:Using a quantum channel composed of a two-atom and a three-atom nonmaximally entangled, states, we present two schemes to teleport a three-atom GHZ class state via entanglement swapping in cavity QED with different success probabilities. The schemes can be respectively realized with the large-detuned vacuum cavities and with the large-detuned thermal cavities by separate atomic measurements after we choose appropriate atom-cavity-field interaction time.

Abstract:We propose a scheme to generate the entangled state of two Lambda-type three-level atoms trapped in distant cavities by using interference of polarized photons. Two possible spontaneous emission channels of each excited atom result in a coherent superposition of the states of two atoms. The subsequent detection of the different polarized photons reveals that both atoms are in different ground states, but an interference effect prevents us from distinguishing which atom is in which ground state; the atoms are thus entangled. In comparison with the original proposal of interference-induced entanglement [C. Cabrillo, J. Cirac, P. Garcia-Fernandez, and P. Zoller, Phys. Rev. A 59, 1025 (1999)]], in our scheme the weakly driven condition is not required, and the influence of atomic excitement and atomic recoil on the entanglement fidelity can be eliminated.

Abstract:We present a scheme of atomic-state teleportation by using a quantum switch (QS). Based on the principle of QS and the quantum interference effect, a controlled-NOT operation between atom and cavity is proposed and used to transform the joint measurement of the von Neumann type into the discrete measurements. A detection method using several atoms resonantly interacting with field state is also presented to read out the field state in a cavity. The fidelity due to cavity dissipation is discussed. In our scheme, since the transfer of quantum information between atom and cavity is achieved by nonresonant atom-cavity interaction, three-bit classical information is transmitted from Alice to Bob to complete teleportation.

Abstract:A scheme is proposed to unconditionally implement state transfer between two distant atoms by sending the atoms across two distant cavities connected via an optical fibre, respectively. The field state, which preserves the information about the first atom, is transmitted from one cavity to the other along the fibre. A Faraday rotator integrated in the fibre can be designed to completely stop the fields reflected from the second cavity, thus after the field interacts with the second atom for a defined time, the state transfer can be accomplished with unit efficiency.

Abstract:We present two schemes for probabilistic ally teleporting a two-atom entangled state using a three-atom partially entangled state as the quantum channel in cavity QED with the help of separate atomic measurements. The first scheme is only based on the interaction between two driven atoms and a quantized cavity mode in the large detuning limit, so the effects of both cavity decay and the thermal field are eliminated. In the second scheme, it is necessary to introduce an additional resonant cavity besides the thermal cavity to realize the teleportation, and the corresponding success probability is improved.

Abstract:We propose a novel scheme for teleporting an arbitrary superposition of two-atom Dicke states with atoms trapped in optical cavities. The scheme requires a multi-fold coincidence detection and is insensitive to the imperfection of the photon detectors, and the fidelity is unity for any superposition of Dicke states. Further, we also point out that scheme can be extended to teleport an arbitrary superposition of N-atom Dicke states with unit fidelity.

Abstract:We propose protocols for quantum teleportation of superposed coherent states of atomic Bose-Einstein condensates. We use the photon entanglement states as the quantum channel, which makes it possible to realize the distant teleportation of atomic states. Two robust protocols are introduced: one is a single-photon scheme in which an entangled single-photon state serves as the quantum channel, and the other is a multi-photon scheme where an entangled coherent state of the probe lasers is used as the quantum channel.

Abstract:We propose a scheme for the quantum teleportation of an atomic state based on the detection of cavity decay. The internal state of an atom trapped in a cavity can be disembodiedly transferred to another atom trapped in a distant cavity by measuring interference of polarized photons through single-photon detectors. In comparison with the original proposal by Bose, Knight, Plenio, and Vedral [ Phys. Rev. Lett. 83, 5158 (1999) ], our protocol of teleportation has a high fidelity of almost unity, and inherent robustness, such as the insensitivity of fidelity to randomness in the atom's position, and to detection inefficiency. All these favorable features make the scheme feasible with the current experimental technology.

Abstract:We propose a scheme for deterministically teleporting a pure quantum state, making use of the Faraday rotation of photonic polarization in cavity QED system. Based on the single-photon input-output process regarding cavities, the scheme works well even in low-Q cavities. Since only virtual excitation of the atoms is involved, it is also insensitive to atomic spontaneous emission. Besides, the CNOT operation replaced by the Faraday rotation is not needed in the scheme, which could greatly relax the experimental difficulty.
