Abstract:We study the entanglement of entangled coherent states in vacuum environment by employing the entanglement of formation and propose a scheme to probabilistically teleport a coherent superposition state via entangled coherent states. Abstract:A scheme is proposed for the teleportation of atomic states within cavities. The scheme is insensitive to the cavity field states and cavity decay. The teleportation may be achieved in a simple way. We show how the idea can be used to generate multiatom entangled states. In order to entangle it atoms, we require n - 1 cavities and allow the first cavity to exchange energy with the environment. The other n - 2 cavities are always in the vacuum state and thus the cavity decay is suppressed.

Abstract:We propose a scheme for the quantum teleportation of an atomic state based on the detection of cavity decay. The internal state of an atom trapped in a cavity can be disembodiedly transferred to another atom trapped in a distant cavity by measuring interference of polarized photons through single-photon detectors. In comparison with the original proposal by Bose, Knight, Plenio, and Vedral [ Phys. Rev. Lett. 83, 5158 (1999) ], our protocol of teleportation has a high fidelity of almost unity, and inherent robustness, such as the insensitivity of fidelity to randomness in the atom's position, and to detection inefficiency. All these favorable features make the scheme feasible with the current experimental technology.

Abstract:We propose a scheme to prepare the Bell states for atomic qubits trapped in separate optical cavities via atom-cavity-laser interaction. The quantum information of each qubit is encoded on the degenerate ground states of the atom, so the entanglement between them is relatively stable against spontaneous emission. The proposed scheme consists of a Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) with two arms, and each arm contains a cavity with an N-type atom in it. It requires two classical fields and a single-photon source. By controlling the sequence and time of atom-cavity-laser interaction, the deterministic production of the atomic Bell states is shown. We also introduce the generalization of the present scheme to generate the 2N-atom Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger state.

Abstract:Generation and control of quantum entanglement are studied in an equivalent-neighbor system of spatially-separated semiconductor quantum dots coupled by a single-mode cavity field. Generation of genuinely multipartite entanglement of qubit states realized by conduction-band electron-spin states in quantum dots is discussed. A protocol for quantum teleportation of electron-spin states via cavity decay is briefly described.

Abstract:We propose a scheme for transferring an entanglement of zero- and one-photon states from one cavity to another. The scheme, which has 100% success probability, is mainly based on a two-mode cavity dispersively interacting with a three-level atom in the A configuration and does not involve Bell-state measurement. Abstract:We propose a scheme for teleporting an unknown atomic state. In order to realize the teleportation to any node ina quantum communication network, an n-atom Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) state is needed, which is utilizedas the quantum channel. From this n-atom GHZ state, two-node entanglement of processing and receiving teleportedstates can be obtained through the quantum logic gate manipulation. Finally, for the unequally weighted GHZ state,probabilistic teleportation is shown.

Abstract:We explore a feasible scheme for generating entangled states for three-level multi-atom trapped within spatially separated cavities. The scheme involves interaction-detection cycle and utilizes resonant atoms with an extra ground state not coupled to the cavity field. Additionally, the scheme can also be generalized to transmit an unknown two-atom entangled state assisted with two auxiliary atoms. Very different from the previous standard schemes, the teleportation of an unknown two atomic entangled state in our scheme is independent of the Bell-state measurement. The current scheme makes use of resonant atom-field interaction instead of Raman coupling, and thus the interaction time is greatly shortened. Furthermore, since the cavities are left in the vacuum state and the atoms are in the ground state, the prepared entanglement states are insensitive to the cavity decay and the atomic spontaneous emission. Abstract:We propose a scheme, through detecting non-ideal large detuned optical cavity decay, to perform quantum teleportation for atomic inherent states. Our scheme has intrinsic robustness beyond Lamb–Dicke limit, and also has ultra-high fidelity even with practical noises which only affect the success probability. Quantum teleportation based on our scheme is very applicable in lab with current experimental technique.

It is based on atom–cavity-mode Raman interaction and only singlet atomic states and photon number measurement with the help of classical information. Abstract:Quantum simulation and sensing hold great promise for providing new insights into nature, from understanding complex interacting systems to searching for undiscovered physics. Large ensembles of laser-cooled atoms interacting via infinite-range photon mediated interactions are a powerful platform for both endeavours. Here, we realize for the first time momentum-exchange interactions in which atoms exchange their momentum states via collective emission and absorption of photons from a common cavity mode. The momentum-exchange interaction leads to an observed all-to-all Ising-like interaction in a matter-wave interferometer, which is useful for entanglement generation. A many-body energy gap also emerges, effectively binding interferometer matter-wave packets together to suppress Doppler dephasing, akin to Mössbauer spectroscopy. The tunable momentum-exchange interaction provides a new capability for quantum interaction-enhanced matter-wave interferometry and for realizing exotic behaviors including simulations of superconductors and dynamical gauge fields.

Abstract:We propose a controlled quantum teleportation scheme to teleport an unknown state based on the interactions between flying photons and quantum dots (QDs) confined within single- and double-sided cavities. In our scheme, users (Alice and Bob) can teleport the unknown state through a secure entanglement channel under the control and distribution of an arbitrator (Trent). For construction of the entanglement channel, Trent utilizes the interactions between two photons and the QD-cavity system, which consists of a charged QD (negatively charged exciton) inside a single-sided cavity. Subsequently, Alice can teleport the unknown state of the electron spin in a QD inside a double-sided cavity to Bob’s electron spin in a QD inside a single-sided cavity assisted by the channel information from Trent. Furthermore, our scheme using QD-cavity systems is feasible with high fidelity, and can be experimentally realized with current technologies.

Abstract:Controlled quantum teleportation of superposed coherent states using GHZ entangled 3-mode coherent states is studied. Proposed scheme can be implemented experimentally using linear optical components such as a symmetric lossless beam splitter, two phase-shifters and two photon counters. Fidelity is found close to unity for appreciable mean number of photons in coherent states and is 0.99 for mean photon number equal to two.
