Abstract:Through the demonstration analysis of Mufu and anatomy of its traits,changes and opportunities,this paper put forward the principle and core which had to be followed while exploiting the underdeveloped areas based on resource advantages.The core idea mainly included: exploiting the tourism in underdeveloped areas based on the resources,guided by industry cooperation,taking the brand as the core,leaded by the market,breached by classical lines,and going at the classical beauty spots.

Abstract:Along with the enhancement of people's consumption level and esthetic appeal,many tourists no longer satisfy to the traditional mass tourism projects and devote to experiential tourism which can obtain more happy and unique experience.Experiential tourism is the new tourism pattern in the experiential economy time which emphasizes participation.At present,China not yet truly enters the experiential economy time and the environment of developing the experiential economy product is not mature.The experiential tourism marketing research in China is also a big blank and the thinking of planning and design is rather simplistic.The method of situational planning and design of item experience provides the new thinking for experiential tourism exploiting.Firstly,study the market foresightedness and at the right moment cultivate the market.Secondly,pay attention to psychology guidance in tourism development,build the experience atmosphere,compile the story,direct activity carefully and arrange tour line and time reasonably.Thirdly,create the experience service under fully understanding tourist psychology and role characteristic.Finally,design experiential souvenir and let the tourist obtain the unforgettable experience.

Abstract:The tourism development status in western China has been analyzed from the views of competition dominance, resources evaluation, combination condition, and location advance and adjustment direction. The restricted factors such as transportation, funds, infrastructure , management are studies. The key view and principle of development of western tourism are pointed. At last the development strategies of marketing promotions, image location, festival marketing, ecological development, green system, product model, electric network, richened the local people and educational service are put forward in this paper.

Abstract:Rural tourism, as a new way of tourism evolved from the combination of ecotourism and agrotourism, has ideological roots in the double regresses to the nature and the life style of ancestors, which are also the original motivations of the tourists taking this tourism form. There is a growing trend of rural tourism in China. The purpose of this paper is to identify such the challenges and problems encountered by the rural tourism businesses in China as limits to the investment and operation scales, disperse in geographical distributions and slack in organizations, repeat in project constructions with a low level, and disorders in market competition, as well as monotony in product designs, environmental declines, urbanization of accommodation establishments, and the badness of credit standings in market, resulting from the unfair distribution of benefits from rural tourism development. To solve these problems, following measurements need to be undertaken, including enhanced conduction, scientific planning and appropriate layout; quality management, service instruction and monitoring ensurence as well as innovations in product design, mechanism and organization structure.

Abstract:Based on a large number of domestic literature reviews with related research abroad, academic standards and issues awareness have been intensified in domestic tourism geography, disciplinary consciousness and innovation enhancement. Hence, some valuable achievements have been made in the areas of tourism resources, tourism regional system, the spatial structure of tourism, tourism flow, ecotourism, tourism industry, tourism planning and tourism impacts, which strengthened the traditional advantages of research, expanded new areas of research and made research trends diverse. Meanwhile, with innovation of research methods, tourism geography in China is getting more and more internationally-oriented and reflecting Chinese characteristics. Research trends of China’s tourism geography are prospected: 1) Catering to national strategic needs, persisting problem-oriented, strengthening the metatheoretical research, and building Chinese “localization” of theory of tourism geography and method system. 2) Introducing and assimilating foreign theories and research methods, while focusing on explaining new tourism phenomena and problems in the domestic socio-economic background. 3) Concerning about the new regional spatial processes of demographic process, social process, and spatial process in new tourism trend. 4) Exploring interactive process and mechanism of man-land relationship and new models to develop territorial space under the tourism impacts. 5) Exploring important research issues of tourism geography in global, national, regional and local scales, from the point of view of spatial differentiation, scale transformation, interaction of man and nature, creating tourism geography interpretation system based on “process-structure-mechanism” of China. 6) Building theoretical system actively, while strengthening application-oriented research, and focusing on tourism poverty alleviation, tourism and heritage protection, national parks’ construction and other hot issues. Faced with econometrics research boom, we should return to rational thinking, using big data scientifically, while paying attention to the important role of qualitative evaluation in future research.

Abstract:After establishing the goal of ecotourism city based on the natural and geographic environment, there are some practical problems in the aspects of achieving low-carbon idea, creating a low carbon city, developing low carbon economy and industries in Qinhuangdao city. For example, the feature and main brand of tourism are not standing out, the aim of tourism is obscure, the overall planning and consciousness of scientific management are not strong, and lack of professional talents of ecotourism. These obstacles can be overcome by highlighting own characteristics, establishing the whole plan, strengthening the consciousness of brand and sustainable utilization of tourism resources, improving the quality of personnel engaged in tourism and so on. All these measures can realize the goal of ecotourism city.

Abstract:AbstractChinese ways of organizing and exploiting landscape park areas, particularly those of historical importance are specific, due to the contemporary overexploitation of these sites. Historic landscape Park of Quin Shi Huang, contains the world-famous “Terracotta Army”. Such a tourist attraction demands organization of access and traffic on an archaeological site and throughout the immense landscape park. The administration of Panjin Park in the Liaoning Province acts to extend the tourist season beyond August/September, when Suaeda Salsa is in bloom and the “Red Beach” attracts millions of visitors. The ideas of spreading tourist goals beyond icons of nature and history and directing them towards rural culture are the most challenging. Eco-farmsteads with animals and traditional crops from orchards, vegetable plots and fields are viewed as an attraction by people who never experienced village life. Research methods employed in the paper include on-site visits, review of literature, conference papers and related PhD dissertation.

Abstract:Abstract:The conflict between community live hood and heritage conservation has been the main man-land contradiction faced with Sichuan Giant Panda Sanctuaries (WGPS) World Nature Heritage. It becomes more severe after Wenchuan earthquake. Rationally developing the tourism display function of world heritage is an efficient way to relax this conflict. This paper firstly introduces the characters of WGPS,then with SWOT method,analysis strength,weakness,opportunity,and threat of ecotourism display of WGPS. Based on this,ecotourism as the centric form,supplementing Tibetan and Qiang culture tourism and Wenchuan earthquake remains,comes into being an interactive tourism pattern. That will gradually promote WPGS World Nature Heritage tourism development.

Abstract:Tourism geography is increasingly to be one of geography branch disciplines.However,with the background of "culture turn" and "social turn" in human geography research,tourism geography is criticized for losing "the flavor of geography",or "degeographization tendency","forgetting the hometown on the way rushing to alien land".With these concerns,The Tourism Geographies Commission of China Geography Association organizes a seminar to reflect the tourism geographies research in the past decades,to discuss the academic contribution of tourism geography,the characteristics and the generational transition of tourism geography.The conclusions include:(1) Tourism geographies is not far away from home,but the hometown:geography itself is changing.Tourism geography must adapt to the geography development in the new era;(2) The key characteristics of tourism geography are comprehensive and inclusive.We should persist in not only logical positivism,but also constructionism and humanism paradigm.The key research questions include mobility,spatial scale transfer and human-place relation;(3) Generation transition in tourism geographers is inevitable,not only in the way of teacher-student relation transition,but also research question,disciplinary identification and theoretical shift.Tourism geography should have their own series of research questions,and generations of geographers work together to facilitate the academic community.
