A Research about the Level of the Mental Health on the College Teachers

Abstract:Objective To learn the current status of the mental health of the teachers of the college.Methods SCL-90 was adopted to carry on questionnaire investigation on 60 hired faculties and 36 retired teachers.Results The mental health of hired faculties and retired teachers were both better than common people.But the mental health of hired teachers was worse than that of the retired teachers manifested in somatization,obsessive compulsive,interpersonal sensitivity,anxiety,hostility,paranoid ideation,and psychoticism.Conclusion Although the mental health of hired and retired teachers are better,hired teachers are obviously worse than retired ones and we should not neglect this problem.
