Abstract:A periodic difference predator-prey model with Holling-(m + 1)(m > 2) type functional response and impulses is established. Sufficient conditions are derived for the existence of periodic solutions by using a continuation theorem in coincidence degree.

Abstract:In this paper, a non-autonomous predator-prey patchy system with Bedding-type functional response and time delay is investigated. It is shown that the system is permanent under some appropriate conditions. By using Gaines and Mawhin's continuation theorem of coincidence degree theory, a set of easily verifiable sufficient conditions are obtained to guarantee the existence of positive periodic solutions of the system.

Abstract:An impulsive periodic predator-prey model with Holling-type IV functional response is considered. Using the continuation theorem of coincidence degree theory, we present an easily verifiable sufficient condition on the existence of multiple periodic solutions. It is important to point out that we establish a better estimation on the difference between the supremum and infimum of a differentiable piece wise continuous periodic function. Abstract:By using a continuation theorem based on Gaines and Mawhin's coincidence degree, the authors study the global exisence of positive periodic solutions of a delayed predator-prey system with Holling II type response and stage structure for predator. A set of easily verifiable sufficient conditions is obtained, which improves some known results. Also, by constructing a suitable Lyapunov function, sufficient conditions which guarantee the global attractivity of the positive periodic solution are obtained.

Abstract:In this paper, a discrete periodic predator–prey system with type IV functional responses and time delay is investigated. Using Gaines and Mawhin’s continuation theorem from coincidence degree theory as well as some prior estimates, we get sufficient conditions for the existence of positive periodic solutions of the system. This is also the first time that the coincidence degree theory has been used to obtain multiple positive periodic solutions in discrete ecological systems.

With the help of differential equations with piecewise constant arguments, we first propose the discrete analogue of a continuous three species predator-prey system with discrete time delays.
