Abstract:In this paper we consider relations between distributional chaos in a sequence with distributional chaos, w-chaos, R-T chaos, DC 3, respectively). We give a sufficient condition and prove that the distributional chaos is equivalent to the distributional chaos in a sequence under this condition. Besides, we get that distributional chaos in a sequence and w-chaos(R-T chaos, DC 3, respectively)do not imply each other. Finally, we give a new definition of chaos, named DC 2', which is similar to DC 2, and show that for any integer N > 0, f is DC 2' if and only if f^N is also DC 2'.

Abstract:We develop a novel decoupling inequality for nonhomogeneous order 2 non-Gaussian chaoses. Having this decoupling inequality, we show two types of the p-th moment bounds for the suprema of a log-concave-tailed chaos process based on some chaining techniques and the generalized majorizing measure theorems for canonical processes. As applications, we show the restricted isometry property of partial random circulant matrices and time-frequency structured random matrices induced by standard α-subexponential vectors, 1≤α≤ 2, which extends the previously known results for the sub-Gaussian case.

Abstract:In this paper, we discuss the relationship between Li-Yorke chaos and distributional chaos in a sequence. We point out the set of all distributional $\delta$-scramble pairs in the sequence $Q$ is a $G_\delta$ set, and prove that Li-Yorke $\delta$-chaos is equivalent to distributional $\delta$-chaos in a sequence, a uniformly chaotic set is a distributional scramble set in some sequence and a class of transitive system implies distributional chaos in a sequence.

Abstract:The main aim of the present paper is to study relations between $n$-scrambled tuples and their attraction-adherence properties with respect to various sequences of integers. This extends previous research on relations between chaos in the sense of Li and Yorke and distributional chaos with respect to a given sequence. Moreover, we construct a system which is $n$-distributionally chaotic but not $(n+1)$-chaotic.

Abstract:Two methods of generating random sequences by several typical physical chaotic systems,including Chua’s circuit,Lorenz system and Chen’s system,were given.And the randomness properties of the random sequences generated by the chaos systems were analyzed by using NIST’s STS randomness test suite.Six tests,which are the monobit test,the runs test,the discrete Fourier transform test,the approximate entropy test,and the cumulative sums test,were conducted to compare the pseudorandom properties of these chaotic sequences.The experiment results show that the randomness properties of the sequences generated by physical chaos are better than those by simulation chaos,and NIST’s STS randomness test suite can distinguish the randomness of different sequences.Among three typical physical chaotic circuits,we recommend the circuit of Chen’s system to generate random sequences.

Abstract:A new chaotic mapping technique-hybrid mapping is constructed,and the generating approach of chaotic spreading sequence is proposed.Some criteria for optimizing spreading sequences and the choosing method are also presented.By numerical simulation,the correlation and balance properties of the chaotic spreading sequences are analysed.Calculation result shows that the pseudo-random character and the linear complexity are excellent compared with logistic mapping,and the optimized chaotic spreading sequences are much better than Gold sequences.

Abstract:There is much research on the dynamical complexity on irregular sets and level sets of ergodic average from the perspective of density in base space, the Hausdorff dimension, Lebesgue positive measure, positive or full topological entropy (and topological pressure), etc. However, this is not the case from the viewpoint of chaos. There are many results on the relationship of positive topological entropy and various chaos. However, positive topological entropy does not imply a strong version of chaos, called DC1. Therefore, it is non-trivial to study DC1 on irregular sets and level sets. In this paper, we will show that, for dynamical systems with specification properties, there exist uncountable DC1-scrambled subsets in irregular sets and level sets. Meanwhile, we prove that several recurrent level sets of points with different recurrent frequency have uncountable DC1-scrambled subsets. The major argument in proving the above results is that there exists uncountable DC1-scrambled subsets in saturated sets.

Abstract:We present a universal algorithm for transforming chaotic sequences of either chaotic map systems or chaotic differential dynamic systems into uniform pseudo-random sequences. Theoretically，the algorithm is based on bit-operations represented by floating-point algorithm，not aiming at any definite physical chaotic systems. It has been proved that，any real random variable generally has a type of natural tendency of homogenization which exponentially increases bitwise with random variable. As a result，any real chaotic sequence can be completely transformed into the pseudo-random sequence having uniform identical independent distribution. Adopting logistic map，Hénon map and Lorenz system as examples to test the universal validity of the algorithm，respectively，the experiments demonstrate that the algorithm is correct. We can reasonably expect that the universally valid algorithm should become the technological basis of standardized modular design of chaotic pseudo-random sequence generator in hardware implementation.

Abstract:This paper presented a new chaos map with infinite collapses in a finite interval. The theoretical analyses and simulation show that the map has bigger Lyapunov exponent (LE) than the traditional chaotic maps with finite collapses, two-valued autocorrelation, uniform invariant distribution,and the statistical properties of its multi-valued quantified sequences are dependent on the parameters of the chaotic map and the quantifier, and choosing proper parameters can make the quantified sequences approach independent- identical -distribution sequences. So it is a good candidate for constructing chaotic spreading sequences and chaotic cipher.

Abstract:To analyze the complexity of the chaotic sequences, based on the intensive statistical complexity algorithm, the complexities of the discrete TD-ERCS and continuous simplified Lorenz chaotic systems were investigated respectively, and the complexities of the chaotic sequences with different system parameters were calculated. The complexities of pseudo-random sequences of the continuous chaotic systems disordered by m-series and chaotic pseudo-random sequences were analyzed. The results indicate that the intensive statistical complexity algorithm is an effective method for analyzing the complexity of the chaotic sequences, and the complexity of the discrete chaotic systems is larger than that of the continuous ones. However, after disordering by m-series or chaotic pseudo-random sequences, the complexities of the pseudo-random sequences can be increased significantly. This study provides a theoretical basis for the applications of chaotic sequences in the field of secure communication and information encryption.

Abstract:In this article we prove that for a diffeomorphism on a compact Riemannian manifold, if there is a nontrival homoclinic class that is not uniformly hyperbolic or the diffeomorphism is a $C^{1+\alpha}$ and there is a hyperbolic ergodic measure whose support is not uniformly hyperbolic, then we find a type of strongly distributional chaos which is stronger than usual distributional chaos and Li-Yorke chaos in the set of irregular orbits that are not uniformly hyperbolic. Meanwhile, we prove that various fractal sets are strongly distributional chaotic, such as irregular sets, level sets, several recurrent level sets of points with different recurrent frequency, and some intersections of these fractal sets. In the process of proof, we give an abstract general mechanism to study strongly distributional chaos provided that the system has a sequence of nondecreasing invariant compact subsets such that every subsystem has exponential specification property, or has exponential shadowing property and transitivity. The advantage of this abstract framework is that it is not only applicable in systems with specification property including transitive Anosov diffeomorphisms, mixing expanding maps, mixing subshifts of finite type and mixing sofic subshifts but also applicable in systems without specification property including $\beta$-shifts, Katok map, generic systems in the space of robustly transitive diffeomorphisms and generic volume-preserving diffeomorphisms.

Abstract:In this paper, we mainly focus on the set of non-dense points of a dynamical system. We study the distributional chaos in such set. As for a mixing expanding map or a transitive Anosov diffeomorphism on a compact connected manifold, we prove that DC1 chaos can occur in a zero topological entropy subset of the intersection of the set of recurrent points and the set of the non-dense points. Also, for such dynamical systems, strongly distributional chaos (which is stronger than DC1 chaos) can occur in a zero topological entropy subset of the set of non-recurrent points. Besides, when we divide the total space into six layers according to the different statistical structures, similar results can appear in every layer. Our results can also be applied to mixing subshifts of finite type, -shifts, homoclinic classes and diffeomorphisms preserving a weakly mixing hyperbolic ergodic measure.

Abstract:In this paper,permutation entropy algorithm is used to analyze the complexity of the chaotic series and chaotic pseudo-random series.The series complexity with different chaotic system parameters is discussed.The study results show that the series after being measured hold the traits of original series,and the complexity of TD-ERCS system is more great and stable than that of other discrete chaotic systems.So TD-ERCS is a new safe chaotic system which can be used for chaotic cryptology.

Abstract:Chaos is associated with stochasticity, complex, irregular motion, etc. It has some peculiar properties such as ergodicity, highly initial value sensitivity, non-periodicity and long-term unpredictability. These pseudo random features lead chaotic systems to enormous applications such as random number generator, image encryption and secure communication. In general, the concept of chaos is never associated with similarity. However, we found the chaotic systems belonging to one chaos family (OCF) have similar dynamic behavior, which is a novel characteristic of chaos. In this work, three classical chaotic system family are studied, which are Lorenz family, Chua family and hyperbolic sine family. These systems contain different derived chaotic systems (Lorenz system, Chen system and L\"u system), different order chaotic systems (Chua family and hyperbolic sine family), and different kinds of chaotic systems (chaos and hyper-chaos). Their PSPs demonstrate that there exist strong correlation in OCF. Moreover, we found that high order/dimensional chaotic systems will inherit all dynamic behavior of lower ones, and the similarity will decrease as the order/dimensional goes higher, which is analogous to genetic process in biology. All of these features are quantitatively evaluated by PPMCC and SSIM.
