Research on Three-Level Three-Phase High Power Factor Soft-Switching AC/DC Converting Technology

Abstract:This paper introduces a three-phase high power factor AC/DC technology which is based on three-level structure and uses a simple circuit structure.This technology achieves power factor correction,AC/DC power conversion and obtains lower output voltage directly.Meanwhile resolves the problems in electric isolation between AC side and DC side,voltage rating of power switches and realization of soft-switching.Based on some analysis and introduction about the main circuit topology,working principle of power factor correction and current discontinuous condition,realization condition of soft-switching have been presented.The feasibility of this three-phase high power factor AC/DC technology was validated by computer simulation.
