The Management and Dissemination Creation of the New Youth

Abstract:Using the methods of primitive periodical literature investigation and research that based on the journalism history and the science dissemination angle,a comprehensive study of New youth′s media forms is conducted to provide the illustrative case for science dissemination history research in the May 4th movement.The findings indicate: the New Youth first changes to the vernacular literature and uses the new style punctuation marks;first implements the system that chief editor takes turns on duty;through many kinds of management like the present,the exchange,the sent sales sell,advertisement and so on,the quartity of the issues reach above 15,000 successfully;It used to publish the new Youth Collection,the special number or the special number publishes the pamphlet,the one-volume edition to reprint and so on to realize rises in value dissemination or expands dissemination scope.The conclusion reveals that the New Youth has swept the situation that Chinese periodical dissemination science was to dominated by the missionaries or the influence of periodical managed by the Chinese people themselves is very small since late Qing dynasty,which has created a miracle of Chinese modern times periodical′s function on society and keeping pace with the times.Its periodical type,the idea of managing publication,the editing pattern and the dissemination strategy also affect a new group Chinese people to manage periodical themselves,advance cultural reform,lead the new direction of the periodical managed by the Chinese people themselves,and make unprecedented promotion of the connotation,the extension and the social function of periodical carrier.
