Abstract:The paper attempts to overcome the difficulty of reusing existing CAD resource in network CAD systems using network migration technologies based on Web Services.A web services network architecture with J2EE as the development platform is proposesed.The interactive function modules are arranged in client machines with Active X.The other modules are used in Web Service with JNI in server machines and data is exchanged by XML.The migration of a textile CAD system is achieved with this method to give a solution to network migration of more sigle-computer applications.

Abstract:The imminence of the production management system’s upgrading in some certain thermo power plant was described,the function of the system was shown,and some key problems in system upgrading were analyzed.The solution to the problem how the client program to replant from Windows 98 platform to Windows 2000/XP platform was given.At the same time,how to consummate the Active X controls in the system was discussed and the correlative code was given.For a better management of data,to deposit the separated data to an exclusive database,a reasonable blueprint of interface was given to resolve the problem of multi-data sources.

Abstract:Nowadays industry depends more and more on computer system. This fact needs a service that can continue working for a long time, which makes high availability to be the key for solution to server. Many kinds of ways of high availability are described, such as hot standby, cluster, and the strong points and shortcomings of these solutions are described. Then design of a hot standby high available system is suggested, which is based on linux. This system, uses process migration skill to realize the fluent system switch.

Abstract:ABSTRACTMany enterprise systems are developed in C++ language and most of them are standalone. Because the standalone software can not follow the new market environment, reengineering the standalone legacy systems into distributed environment becomes a critical problem. Some methods have been proposed on related topics such as design recovery, the identification of the component, modeling the interfaces of components and components allocation. Up to now, there does not exist a reengineering process for partition distributed environment, which will offer distinct advantages on horizontal scalability and performance over normal distributed solutions. This paper presents a new process to reengineer C++ legacy systems into the J2EE partition distributed environment. The process consists of four steps: translation from C++ to Java code; extraction of components using the cluster technology; modeling component interfaces and partition of the components in J2EE distribute environment. It has been applied to a large equity-trading legacy system which has proved to be successful.

Abstract:Due to the rapid development of different processors, e.g., x86 and Sunway, software porting between different platforms is becoming more frequent. However, the migrated software's execution efficiency on the target platform is different from that of the source platform, and most of the previous studies have investigated the improvement of the efficiency from the hardware perspective. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first paper to exclusively focus on studying what software factors can result in performance change after software migration. To perform our study, we used SonarQube to detect and measure five software factors, namely Duplicated Lines (DL), Code Smells Density (CSD), Big Functions (BF), Cyclomatic Complexity (CC), and Complex Functions (CF), from 13 selected projects of SPEC CPU2006 benchmark suite. Then, we measured the change of software performance by calculating the acceleration ratio of execution time before (x86) and after (Sunway) software migration. Finally, we performed a multiple linear regression model to analyze the relationship between the software performance change and the software factors. The results indicate that the performance change of software migration from the x86 platform to the Sunway platform is mainly affected by three software factors, i.e., Code Smell Density (CSD), Cyclomatic Complexity (CC), and Complex Functions (CF). The findings can benefit both researchers and practitioners.

Abstract:As technology evolves, many organizations face the problem of migrating legacy applications from one technology base to another. We report on a case study involving the migration of legacy code into the IBM® WebSphere® Commerce Suite product. Specifically, we focus on the problem of migrating applications that use traditional database access techniques to applications using the Enterprise JavaBean (EJB) programming model. Our results include a practical methodology that facilitates such migration, as well as a tool that supports this methodology. The tool has been released on IBM's alphaWorks site.

Secondly, three implementation methods of multithread mechanism that is user\|level threads, kernel\|level threads and combined approaches are discussed. Abstract:The proper operation of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) depends on underlying system services of operating systems, so efficient and effective migration of Service Hosting Environment is critical to cope with intrinsic-changed nature of SOA. However, due to the large amount of configuration items, complicated mapping and complex dependency relationship among system services, migrating into a new Service Hosting Environment satisfying the operation requirement of SOA becomes an error-prone and time-consuming task. The SCM project in IBM develops a novel approach to migrate Service Hosting Environment shaped in Unix-like systems. Firstly, this approach builds a set of configuration models to describe various system services. Then based on models, it presents knowledge based mapping to translate system service configurations between Service Hosting Environments. Finally, it designs a dependency hierarchy deducting algorithm to compute the dependency relationship among system services for migration traceability and error determination. A SCM prototype has performed well on largely reducing time, labor and errors in real migration cases.

Abstract:In this paper, a programming port communication protocol of Mitsubishi FX series PLC is introduced and studied. A part of communication program based on LabVIEW is presented. The serial communication between PLC and industry PC (host computer) is implemented, which is a simple hardware structure and quite practicable. This communication has been applied successfully in the supervisory system which is introduced in this paper. It has substituted for the configuration software and also realized the data supervision through the host computer. WhatÂ¿s more, the advantage of high efficiency and low price by using this communication is doomed to win great favor.

Abstract:Recently, the Cluster of Computers (COC) has been used to run large parallel programs increasingly. Task migration is a desirable and useful facility to implement Load-Balance and High-Availibility in COCs. This paper presents a quick migration protocol for MPI tasks, which allows non- migrating tasks to execute during most of the time of migration. Process table updating and synchronization are key mechanisms of this protocol. Because MPI does not make provisions for tasks migration, this paper also describes the work required to modify an MPI implementation to allow task migration. At last we introduce our task migration system which is completed grounded on this protocol.
