A Comparative Study of Leisure Sport Cultures Between China and Western Countries

Abstract:Leisure sports have become a special study in the developed countries,and its social value and function have attracted more and more attention of scholars and government.Therefore,learning,drawing lessons from and applying the advanced theories and research results are of great importance for improving the research level of leisure sports in China.By means of literature review,comparative analysis and character analysis,the authors have made a profound study of the differences between Chinese and western leisure sport cultures.The conclusion shows that the historical process of leisure sport culture in western countries displays a changing U curve,while the developing process of leisure sport in China displays a static and straight line.There exist certain differences between Chinese and western leisure sport cultures in aspects of awareness,contents of leisure sport,exercise load,the cultivation and education of leisure sport fans,etc.
