Abstract:Traditional WebGISs have obvious limitation in the sharing of geospatlal information and network transfer. This paper introduces GML and SVG and describes the advantage of their usage in WebGIS.As a result,it presents a GML&SVG Cbased WebGIS model and analyses its key technology.

Abstract:This paper introduces the transformation from heterogeneous data to GML files and proposes a common GML application schema and the annotation model of GML.Then this paper realizes the GIS functions of SVG images in practice and proposes a new WebGIS solution to use GML to transfer and storage geographic information and to use SVG to view the geographic information.

Abstract:The complexity and richness of spatial data models and geographic information systems (GIS) together with the popularity of WWW have led to an increasing number of heterogeneous and autonomous geo-referenced information sources that spread over the Internet. How to integrate and publish these geographic information to facilitate accessing, sharing, and interoperability is still a challenge to both the research community and the Industry. In this paper, we propose a framework based on GML and SVG technologies for integrating and publishing distributed geographic information. Here, GML is adopted as the common format for spatial information wrapping and mediation, SVG is used as a web-map publishing format that can be processed and displayed in Web browser, and Oracle Spatial is used to implement the spatial relation oriented query and the caching mechanism. A prototype is also implemented based on the proposed framework.

Abstract:It is the GIS developing direction to integrate GIS with Internet. Internet GIS is not only used to publish distributed geographic information on line, but also to provide on line tools for distributed geographic information real\|time analysis and processing. Internet GIS should make use of existing multi\|sources and functions for geographic information analysis and processing. In other words, it must solve the problem of interoperability. This paper deeply researched the development and core technology of GML3.0(Geography Markup Language). The major contents included data type, feature, feature collection,types and elements of geometric model,temporal and coverage.Some content models and UML representation of correlative contents were presented. The paper also presented the application instance of data sharing and operatability by using GML3.0 and forecast the future version.

Abstract:Generally,the current WebGIS uses GML as the carrier of data store.SVG is primarily used for the visualization of the spatial data.But this structure owns its disadvantages when it is used for spatial analysis or data exchange.To overcome these deficiencies,this paper puts forward the method about the spatial data storage and discusses how to apply the base spatial analysis methods to SVG data with the examples of overlay analysis and Buffer Analysis.Finally,this paper realizes a SVG-based WebGIS which can analysis spatial data.Then validate and analyze the feasibility and the performance of the method accord this proto system.

Abstract:As the deeply and broadly applying GIS, GIS has turned into the main technology of management of spatial information as well as integrated platform carried with spatial information, and gradually melted into mainstream of IT. However, due to the content and source diversity of spatial data and the platform difference of GIS software, GIS application is still a "black box" which leads to difficulties of data and functions sharing between GIS applications. Hence, both study On interoperability technology of GIS and solution on interoperability bottleneck between GIS applications have become the most valuable research in GIS domain. Based on Web service and OWS model of OGC, this paper built application integration layer, Web application manager layer, service registry layer, and GML spatial data storage layer for GML spatial interoperability framework. This paper established SOAP generation mechanism, WSDL description mechanism and UDDI service registry mechanism for GML spatial service, and provided templates for spatial Web service interoperability.

Abstract:GML is gradually accepted by people and becoming an exchange format for spatial information. In this paper, it is pointed out that GML-based ubiquitous WebGIS will have a bright future both in application and market. GML-based ubiquitous WebGIS contains two aspects of content, one is the trade-off of spatial information based on GML, the other is ubiquitous WebGIS application based on GML data. At last, based on XML Parser technology, a method of building GML-based ubiquitous WebGIS application is presented, which will provide a useful experience for ubiquitous WebGIS. ;;;;;

Abstract:GML(Geography Markup Language) is the language applied in the standard storage of GIS(Geographical Information System),and SVG(Scalable Vector Graphics)is adaptive to transmit graphics file on web, while KML(Keyhole Markup Language) is specially used for Google Earth. In this paper, GML,SVG and KML are discussed firstly, especially their advantage, disadvantage and their application field. Then, after introducing the GML_Support package which was added to the IEC61968 lately, the paper puts forward a graphics system framework of power system that is based on GML and SVG, and also the framework is accordant to CIM. Finally, the application of this framework is introduced briefly.

Abstract:This study put forward a method to realize heterogeneous geospatial data sharing. To realize heterogeneous geospatial data sharing, two key issues in technology are to be solved. One is how to exchange the heterogeneous geospatial data. The other is how to integrate and share heterogeneous geospatial data in a distributed environment. geography markup language (GML) can solve problems that exist in current solutions of geospatial data sharing, such as information losing and difficulty of expanding to Internet. Web Services can overcome problems of data transmission and platform heterogeneity, which exists in distributed computing technologies. Therefore, the method that combines GML and Web Services technology can meet the demand to realize heterogeneous geospatial data sharing (HGDS). A prototype of service-oriented heterogeneous geospatial data sharing system (HGDSS) in a distributed environment is successfully developed under Mircosoft.NET environment. The system used GML as medium of data conversion. Data transformation, snapshot and metadata release services are provided, and process and visualization of massive data are also concerned in the system.

Abstract:With the development of network and information technology, the spatial data gain, sharing, issuing and analysing plays a more and more important role in the decision of each department. This article discusses the method of the spatial data interoperability based on XML; thoroughly compares two kinds of applications standard in the specialized domains of XML—GML(Geography Mark-up Language) standard and SVG(Scalable Vector Graphics) standard. Considered their different characteristic, the spatial data interoperability system based on GML and SVG has been designed and practiced. GML is chosen to take the spatial data storage and transport standard, however there is not a general tool to show the GML map, so it can be changed to SVG format and browse the map through the plug-in of SVG Viewer. The four- layer structure of the application system is designed, that is the Database Server, the Web Services, the Web application Server and the Client. The implementation system is supporting XML and the surrounding web services technology. The result is satisfied and the technology on spatial data interoperation based on XML will have wide development prospects.

Abstract:In order to better render and access geographical data in Web browsers and resolve the bottleneck problem caused by a large number of simultaneous spatial analyses in WebGIS, this paper first makes mapping between the space objects and the SVG(scalable vector graphics) labels using the real time interaction of SVG, so that the space data can be easily released in the Web browsers and the users are able to conveniently access and manipulate geographical data. Then a novel WebGIS model is proposed, which utilizes the computing ability of the Web browsers. This model is different from the traditional distributed computing systems as it can promote cooperative work between the server and the Web browsers and can quickly accomplish huge computing tasks in parallel. Finally, a prototype system is realized to verify the feasibility and the advantage of the model.

Abstract:The status and problems of the integration between GIS and GIS-based Model (GBModel) is analyzed.The method of integration between GIS and GBModel is proposed based on Web Services.GBM services architecture based on RM_-ODP and the relationship with OpenGIS's are analyzed.The integrated services train style,the integrated procedure and the developed flow are discussed between GBM services and GIS.Taking the Modern Catchment Geomorphic Evolution Model(MCGEM)as an example,the integration experiment is implemented,and the results demonstrated the method proposed in this paper is right.

Abstract:Nowadays, sharing is one of the most frequently hot topics. Compared with adequate data source and data share, it is more important to use the abundant data. Generally, a geographic information system (GIS) consists of two parts which are data and function. Sharing function is a good way to make the data usable. For this purpose, we set up the architecture for GIS model sharing. Furthermore, an archetype system is built to prove the feasibility, and an environment evaluation model is used for a test on Beijing and surrounding areas. The archetype system shares the environmental evaluation model via Web services. It enables end users to combine local data and remote function together to execute environment evaluation and analysis. The archetype system is a proof of the feasibility of the GIS model sharing architecture. The environment evaluation result generated by the archetype system is consistent with the ground truth. It is more convenient to use the archetype system and it also reveals the utility of Web services based GIS model sharing service. However, the archetype system needs to be improved in many aspects.
