Use Survey of Anti-infection Drugs to Our Inpatients in Beijing University Hospital

Abstract:Objective To probe into the application status of anti-infection drugs to our inpatients,and to provide evidences for clinical rational use and scientific management of the anti-infection drugs.Method Use of anti-infection drugs to 331 inpatients of Beijing university hospital was analyzed between Jan and Dec 2009.Results Of the 331 patients,45% were receiving anti-infection drugs.As for active treatment,single drug consisted of 89.26%,two-drug 10.74%.The combination of cephalosporins and quinolones were the most common form.The most widely used kinds of anti-infection drugs were cephalosporins which had the largest number of varieties.The practical experience in medication accounted for 80.54%.The preventive medication rate in surgery was 83.87%.The rate of treatment in medical department was 97.46%.Conclusion There is unreasonable use in clinical practice.The practical experience in medication and preventive medication still prevailed.It is very important to use anti-infection drugs rationally according to the pathogeny and the test of drug sensitivity.
