Abstract:There is no optimization mechanism in the Material Requirement Planning(MRP) process of the traditional Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) system.In order to solve this problem,a new enterprise resource Planning system was proposed,which was based on a supply chain structure and was capable of optimizing the enterprise resources.Supply Chain Unit(SCU) was the key element for construction of the new system.The definition of SCU,the nested Bill of Material(BOM)and routing structure of SCU were discussed.A general enterprise resource optimization model based on SCU was a core module of the system.The model construction was driven by data and graphic presentation of the system.The model included major parts of the enterprise supply chain to fulfill the optimized resource allocation.The new system adopted a distributed control structure,which was capable of supporting the autonomous management practice in each SCU and guaranteeing greater flexibility to the expansion and adaptation of the new system.
