Abstract:In this paper, we prove a sharpening of large deviation for increments of Brownian motion in (p,r)-capacity and Hölder norm case. As an application, we obtain a functional modulus of continuity for (p,r)-capacity in the stronger topology.

Abstract:The Lévy-Ciesielski Construction of Brownian motion is used to determine non-asymptotic estimates for the maximal deviation of increments of a Brownian motion process $(W_{t})_{t\in \left[ 0,T\right] }$ normalized by the global modulus function, for all positive $\varepsilon $ and $\delta $. Additionally, uniform results over $\delta $ are obtained. Using the same method, non-asymptotic estimates for the distribution function for the standard Brownian motion normalized by its local modulus of continuity are obtained. Similar results for the truncated Brownian motion are provided and play a crucial role in establishing the results for the standard Brownian motion case.

Abstract:We prove geometric upper bounds for the Poincaré and Logarithmic Sobolev constants for Brownian motion on manifolds with sticky reflecting boundary diffusion i.e. extended Wentzell-type boundary condition under general curvature assumptions on the manifold and its boundary. The method is based on an interpolation involving energy interactions between the boundary and the interior of the manifold. As side results we obtain explicit geometric bounds on the first nontrivial Steklov eigenvalue, for the norm of the boundary trace operator on Sobolev functions, and on the boundary trace logarithmic Sobolev constant. The case of Brownian motion with pure sticky reflection is also treated.

Abstract:G-Brownian motion has a very rich and interesting new structure that nontrivially generalizes the classical Brownian motion. Its quadratic variation process is also a continuous process with independent and stationary increments. We prove a self-normalized functional central limit theorem for independent and identically distributed random variables under the sub-linear expectation with the limit process being a G-Brownian motion self-normalized by its quadratic variation. To prove the self-normalized central limit theorem, we also establish a new Donsker’s invariance principle with the limit process being a generalized G-Brownian motion.

Abstract:For a class of -Fleming–Viot processes with Brownian spatial motion in whose associated -coalescents come down from infinity, we obtain sharp global and local moduli of continuity for the ancestral processes recovered from the associated lookdown representations. As applications, we establish both global and local moduli of continuity for the -Fleming–Viot support processes. In particular, if the -coalescent is the Beta coalescent for with corresponding to Kingman's coalescent, then for , the global modulus of continuity holds for the support process with modulus function , and both the left and right local moduli of continuity hold for the support process with modulus function .

Abstract:We prove the convergence of the extremal processes for variable speed branching Brownian motions where the "speed functions", that describe the time-inhomogeneous variance, lie strictly below their concave hull and satisfy a certain weak regularity condition. These limiting objects are universal in the sense that they only depend on the slope of the speed function at $0$ and the final time $t$. The proof is based on previous results for two-speed BBM obtained in a recent paper of ours and uses Gaussian comparison arguments to extend these to the general case.

Abstract:The regular Dirichlet extension is the dual concept of regular Dirichlet subspace. The main purpose of this paper is to characterize all the regular Dirichlet extensions of one-dimensional Brownian motion and to explore their structures. It is shown that every regular Dirichlet extension of one-dimensional Brownian motion may essentially decomposed into at most countable disjoint invariant intervals and an $\mathcal{E}$-polar set relative to this regular Dirichlet extension. On each invariant interval the regular Dirichlet extension is characterized uniquely by a scale function in a given class. To explore the structure of regular Dirichlet extension we apply the idea introduced in [17], we formulate the trace Dirichlet forms and attain the darning process associated with the restriction to each invariant interval of the orthogonal complement of $H^1_\mathrm{e}(\mathbb{R})$ in the extended Dirichlet space of the regular Dirichlet extension. As a result, we find an answer to a long-standing problem whether a pure jump Dirichlet form has proper regular Dirichlet subspaces.
On the modulus of continuity of solutions to nonlocal parabolic equations

Abstract:A general modulus of continuity is quantified for locally bounded, local, weak solutions to nonlocal parabolic equations, under a minimal tail condition. Hölder modulus of continuity is then deduced under a slightly stronger tail condition. These regularity estimates are demonstrated under the framework of nonlocal $p$-Laplacian with measurable kernels.

Limit theorems for general functionals of Brownian local times

Abstract:In this paper, we present the asymptotic theory for integrated functions of increments of Brownian local times in space. Specifically, we determine their first-order limit, along with the asymptotic distribution of the fluctuations. Our key result establishes that a standardized version of our statistic converges stably in law towards a mixed normal distribution. Our contribution builds upon a series of prior works by S. Campese, X. Chen, Y. Hu, W.V. Li, M.B. Markus, D. Nualart and J. Rosen \cite{C17,CLMR10,HN09,HN10,MR08,R11,R11b}, which delved into special cases of the considered problem, such as quadratic, cubic and polynomial cases. We establish the limit theorem for general functions that satisfy mild smoothness and growth conditions. This extends the scope beyond the polynomial cases studied in previous works, providing a more comprehensive understanding of the asymptotic properties of the considered functionals.

Abstract:In this work, we establish a Trotter-Kato type theorem. More precisely, we characterize the convergence in distribution of Feller processes by examining the convergence of their generators. The main novelty lies in providing quantitative estimates in the vague topology at any fixed time. As important applications, we deduce functional central limit theorems for random walks on the positive integers with boundary conditions, which converge to Brownian motions on the positive half-line with boundary conditions at zero.

Abstract:We show that the uniform norm of generalized grey Brownian motion over the unit interval has an analytic density, excluding the special case of fractional Brownian motion. Our main result is an asymptotic expansion for the small ball probability of generalized grey Brownian motion, which extends to other norms on path space. The decay rate is not exponential but polynomial, of degree two. For the uniform norm and the Hölder norm, we also prove a large deviations estimate.

Abstract:A p-adic Brownian motion is a continuous time stochastic process in a p-adic state space that has a Vladimirov operator as its infinitesimal generator. The current work shows that any such process is the scaling limit of a discrete time random walk on a discrete group. Earlier work required the exponent of the Vladimirov operator to be in (1, ∞), and the convergence was the weak-∗ convergence in the space of bounded measures on the Skorohod space of paths on a compact time interval. The current approach simplifies the earlier approach, allows for any positive exponent, eliminates the restriction to compact time intervals, and establishes some moment estimates for the discrete time processes that are of independent interest.
