Abstract:The title compound, C18H12ClN5, was prepared by the reaction of 4,4'-dichlorophenylphosphazoanilide and N,N'-dipyridoylhydrazine. The X-ray analysis revealed that the pyridyl groups, the substituted benzene ring and the 1,2,4-triazole ring do nor share a common plane.

Abstract:In the title compound, C18H13N5, the two pyridyl rings form dihedral angles of 32.7 (2) and 30.1 (2)degrees with the triazole ring. The most favoured orientation of the pyridyl rings is that with their N atoms on opposite sides of the triazole ring directed towards the phenyl ring. pi-pi-Stacking interactions involving pyridyl rings are observed along the a axis at a perpendicular distance of 3.670 (3) Angstrom. This arrangement is further stabilized by weak intermolecular C-H ... N hydrogen bonds.

Abstract:The 4-(p-methoxyphenyl)-3,5-bis(4-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazole has been synthesized and its crystal structure has been determined by X-ray diffraction methods. It crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2 1 /n, with a = 12.5832(6) Å, b = 7.0512(5) Å, c = 18.4669(12) Å, β = 96.826(1)°, and D calc = 1.345 g cm −1 for Z = 4. In the structure, two pyridyl rings, phenyl ring, and triazole ring do not share a common plane. The most favored orientation of the pyridyl rings in the crystal is that their planes are inclined toward opposite directions with respect to the triazole ring.

Abstract:In the title molecule, C18H11Cl3N2O2, the central benzene ring is oriented at 8.44 (12) and 70.57 (11)degrees with respect to the terminal chlorophenol and dichloropyridine rings, respectively. The molecular structure is stabilized by an intramolecular O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bond, which generates an S(6) ring motif. In the crystal, pi-pi stacking between parallel pyridine rings is observed [centroid-centroid distance = 3.6561 (14) angstrom].
