Abstract:With economic development and social progress, geographic information science is playing a more and more important role in tourism development. Many spatial analysis methods have been used in planning and design of scenic development programs. In this paper, the application of geographic information systems is illustratedfrom three perspectives. DEM model, Voronoi diagram and Space syntax are used to help achieve suitable land use, rational scenic spots layout, and traffic systems, with which tourist split-flow may be attainable. This study enriches tourism planning methods, which may make tourism planning more scientific and operable.

Abstract:Since the 1960s, the application of GIS technology in the field of geography has led geography to the development path of informatization and digitization. GIS technology, which focuses on spatial information analysis and spatial data management, has become an important spatial system for geographic exploration. GIS technology has extremely important advantages in collecting, processing, simulating, analyzing and expressing geospatial data. Object: This paper takes the spatial pattern of cross-border tourism cooperation in the Altai Mountains region as the research object. Methods: The research methods are: the terrain analysis, threedimensional scene simulation, data statistics, suitability analysis, visual domain analysis, transportation network analysis, and project site selection of GIS technology in tourism planning. Results: The presented research is analytical in nature. The specific application of GIS technology in tourism planning is discussed. Also, 7 types of GIS applications were considered in the paper. In summary, GIS is mainly composed of data input system, data management system, spatial analysis system and data output system. It has very important application value in tourism management and development.

Abstract:This paper classifies 1659 historical stone sculptures in Guilin and examines the development of cave tourism of Guilin.Firstly,after summing up all the stone sculptures,the attraction degree of show caves is evaluated.Secondly,the contents of stone sculptures are categorized into 6 types,including spot construction,extensive tour,mass tourism,history of spot and folk custom.The characteristics of cave tourism in different dynasties are revealed and analyzed.The sums of stone sculptures in caves in different sight spots reflect the traveling appeal of each spot in history.In Guilin,9 sight spots(Hidden Dragon Cave,Seven-star Cave,Nanxi Hill etc.) obtain about 50 stone sculptures in caves.The sum and the distribution of stone sculptures in Tang,Song,Yuan,Ming as well as The Republic of China can generally describe the tourist behavior features in ancient tourism.The sum of stone sculptures is chosen as the indicator of tourism and the sum of stone sculptures in caves is chosen as the indicator of cave tourism.By comparing the distributions of the two indicators in different dynasties,the authors find that ancient tourist behavior has characteristics of extensive tourism.And after contrasting the distributions of stone sculptures and stone sculptures in caves,they find that extensive tourism in cave tourism shows a higher proportion than it in other types of tourism.The result shows that Tang Dynasty is the first peak in ancient tourism in Guilin.After that,cave tourism in Song Dynasty experiences a significant period when both scenery construction and group tourism reach general maturity and high prosperity.From the Perspectives of tourist experience,tourism at that time reflects rudiment of mass tourism.The summit of scenery construction appears in Ming Dynasty.Meanwhile,based on tourist experience,the cave tourism has recorded a rising trend of progress since Song Dynasty.

Abstract:Based on the yearly number of tourists visiting Yaolin Cave in the past years,and combined with the data of other domestic Karst-caves, this paper quantitatively discussed the characteristics of the life cycle of Karst-cave tourist areas. It was found that the life cycle of Karst-cave tourist areas have the following characteristics:①After being developed, they were going to enter the development stage directly. The yearly number of tourists would reach the maximum after 3~4 years of opening.②From then on, they directly entered the decline stage, without experiencing a growth stage and a stagnation stage.③After a period of quick decline, the annual number of tourists tended to stabilize. At last, some factors affecting the life cycle of Karst-cave tourist areas were analyzed, and some suggestions about the development and management of Karst-cave tourist areas were put forward.

Karst Cave Tourism System in Zhejiang Province Based on Resource Regional Analysis

Abstract:Karst cave tourism plays an important role in the overall tourism of Zhejiang Province, China. In analyzing the current status of karst cave tourism resources, it is crucial to develop a scientific system for optimizing resource exploitation and tourism development in the future. This study conducted an analysis of resource characteristics and regional structure in Zhejiang Province. Nearest neighbor index (NNI) method and accessibility index method were used for a comprehensive understanding of the effects of scale, strength, combination, and accessibility of karst cave tourism resources. Results indicated that karst cave tourism resources in Zhejiang Province have a significant regional influence, and that resource quality and exploitation are diverse in different regions. Among the regions, Jinhua had the highest exploitation proportion of over 60% and the lowest NNI value of 0.098. Furthermore, regional analysis inferred that different karst caves demonstrate diversity in accessibility to tourism markets, among which the Lingshan Cave, Fengshui Cave, and Xianqiao Cave reveal the highest accessibility index of 2.41. Finally, we put forward a karst cave tourism system in Zhejiang Province based on the Growth Pole Theory and set up an overall scheme for karst cave tourism development. From a regional perspective analysis, the study refined the methods for regional resource research and provided a strategic proposal for karst cave tourism in Zhejiang Province.

Abstract:By investigating the four categories geological tourism resources such as karst valleys, karst caves, water and geological structure in Hubei Shibalichangxia Nature Reserve, this paper analyzed the existing problems in the development of tourism resources, the problems included the contradiction between tourism development and protection, tourism theme is not obvious and infrastructure construction lag behind. Combined with other natural and cultural resources in the nature reserve, this paper put forward the develop clue of the six major tourism functional area, they are the canyon scenery geological science area, the ancient salt path experience area, Xiangba folk customs experience area, Yuping river folk experience area and rare biological conservation area, which may promote the rapid development of tourism economy in the Shibalichangxia Nature Reserve of Hubei province.

Abstract:Study on the environmental problems of tourism development is always popular in the karst area of Southwest China,where the eco-environment is frangible.The karst caves,surface eco-environment and waterscape are the most important resources for tourism development in karst area,which must be protected preferentially.Taking Suiyang County as a case,this paper analyzes some important aspects of the tourism environment in karst area and advances some practical measures on natural landscape protection.As a result,some common viewpoints on natural landscape protection of tourism development in karst area can be concluded as following:(1) The sediments in karst caves are especially frangible,which will be hardly renewed when destroyed.Therefore,it is necessary to take some protective measures before these caves are developed for tourism.In order to protect and manage these caves orderly,they should be classified to various groups according to their different values for scientific research,tourism etc.Anyway,some protective settings should be rightly put close to the sediments of carbonate to avoid damnification from tourists.On the premise of right estimate means,the tourism environment carrying capacity can be regarded as an effective tool for landscape protection and tourist management.Furthermore,it is important to establish caves evaluation and measurement system.(2) To protect surface eco-environment,it is necessary to zone a tourism area or a nature reserve area into different parts and different grades to set up a new spatial pattern of environmental protection,so that people can clearly know which parts should be protected strictly,which parts must be only for scientific research and should be absolutely open to the tourists,etc.(3) Waterscape,such as chute,hotspring and underground,river is a vital part of the natural landscape in karst tourism area.Both depollution of waterscape and water-control are important during the tourism development process,but should be respectively emphasized particularly on different phases.Considering some tourism activities depend on waterscape,the control of tourism environment carrying capacity is also important.

Abstract:The 21st century is the era of information economy. With economic development and social progress, people's material and cultural standard of living continues to improve and leisure time continues to increase, tourism has become increasingly popular as a kind of leisure way. The geographic information system applied to tourism management is the preferred platform of tourism information. On the basis of introducing the concepts of Geographic Information System (GIS) and Travel Geographic Information System (TGIS), this paper illustrates the role that the geographic information system plays in tourism management. Tourism has a strong geographical attributes. And GIS itself is information system offering services to geographic research and decision-making, which can play a role in tourism management. In particular, possessing the functions, such as data collection, storage, processing, spatial analysis and so on, GIS directly provides services for tourism management. The roles of GIS in tourism management are mainly in the following areas: conducting tourism information management; being able to produce a comprehensive thematic map. The paper analyzes the existing problems of GIS applications in tourism management. Take a panoramic view of the current technology and management system, the key technology and problems to establish TGIS are: the construction of tourism geographic information database; the establishment of data structure and the data model; the design of Tourism Geographic Information Database System. The essay also proposes the development prospects of the combination of GIS with new information technologies. GIS applied in Tourism Management has played a significant role. At the same time, it should be noted that information technology continuously changes, GIS applied in tourism management also need to improve according to the development of information technology to adapt to the information technology development. Looking the prospects of GIS applied in tourism management, the following areas need to be improved: RS, GPS as supplementary means applied to GIS data collection and update to enhance information collection ability of the system; combining the multimedia and virtual technology with GIS to enhance the attractiveness of the system for tourists; Combining the expert system technology with GIS to enhance the capacity of the system to solve travel problems.

The popularization of computer technology and GIS technology provides the technical support for urban planning. This paper introduces the concepts of spatial analysis functions of GIS briefly, and analyses the spatial analysis function of the application in urban planning specifically. How to apply the GIS spatial analysis function in the different urban planning field is demonstrated in the paper, which also gives the direction of the future application of GIS science and technology in urban planning.

Abstract:Analysis and evaluation of the stability of road and bridge foundations in karst areas is currently one of the major technical problems in highway construction at home and abroad. Secondly, on the basis of the grey evaluation model of water quality, the principle of maximum entropy in information theory is introduced to establish a grey evaluation model of karst groundwater environment based on entropy that can satisfy the evaluation of karst groundwater environment, so as to realize the mathematical evaluation of karst groundwater environment and karst groundwater quality. In the pre-planning of the highway, GIS can facilitate the planning, site selection, analysis and decision-making of the best route of the road network. At the same time, it can also analyze the environment along the highway.

Abstract:With the development of aesthetic value research, more and more disciplines, institutions, and researchers have joined in, taking the research development in a quantitative direction. At present, karst is not only a popular type of "world natural heritage site", but also a hotspot in the research of landscape aesthetics. However, no comprehensive literature review covers the aesthetic value of World Heritage karst sites. To fill this gap, the study systematically reviewed 190 articles retrieved from the Web of Science, the China Knowledge Resource Integrated, and Google Scholar databases. First, the study conducted a quantitative analysis of the annual number, content, countries, and themes of published literature. Secondly, the study summarized the landscape evaluation, aesthetic value, and protection of World Heritage karst sites and related theories and put forward the key scientific issues to be solved, as well as the direction of future research.

Abstract:In a karst area, the spatial distribution of karst cave has a great influence on highway tunnel. In this paper, through summarized the spatial distribution characteristics of karst caves in large fractured carbonate regions, and the influence of the spatial distribution characteristics of the buried karst cave on the stability of highway tunnel is analyzed by Phase-2 numerical simulation software. Phase-2 numerical simulation software was used to analyze the influence of the stability of highway tunnel . From this we can know that The tunnel bottom cavern has the greatest impact on the highway tunnel, and the larger the cave is, the more the tunnel stability is affected by the tunnel stability, which can provide reference for the tunnel engineering.

Abstract:Traditional village tourism is an effective path to rural revitalization and an excellent way to preserve traditional sceneries and cultural heritage. However, research on the subject matter has been limited. To address some of the current research gaps, this study used 2372 online travelogues from popular travel websites to explore the spatio-temporal distribution and network structure of the tourism flow in traditional villages in western Hunan using ArcGIS and social network analysis. The main findings are as follows: (1) In terms of time distribution, the tourism flow in traditional villages in Western Hunan is dominated by short-term tourism and shows significant seasonal differences. (2) The spatial distribution forms a double-core and multipoint spatial pattern with "Fenghuang Ancient City—Zhangjiajie National Forest Park" as core. (3) The network of traditional villages in Western Hunan exhibits a "core-periphery" hierarchical structure, with a network density of 0.275. Aside from the attraction and appeal of the twin cores, Furong Town and Tianmen Mountain constitute the core points of the network structure, and the radiation drive of the core nodes is not pronounced.

Abstract:The village cultural landscape of China is being challenged by the New Rural Construction and rapid urbanization. One of the dominant theories on the conservation of the village cultural landscape proposes that it can be protected through ecotourism, which is based on the concept of sustainable development. In line with the theory, this chapter discusses the guideline for the sustainable conservation of the village cultural landscape by means of village ecotourism. Gaoxigou, a cave-dwelling village, was used as a case study to analyze the key elements of the village cultural landscape, discuss the resources of village ecotourism, explore the relationship between the elements and resources, and examine and apply the guidelines for conservation planning and design. With the implementation of the guidelines, the author explored the sustainable conservation planning method of the cave-dwelling village’s cultural landscape and hopes to provide some references for the future protection of the village cultural landscape.

Abstract:Ecosystem services (ESs) value realization and ecological industry (eco-industry) are essential components of regional development. Due to the vulnerability and non-renewability of natural landscape resources in Karst areas, once unreasonable resource development takes place, it is easy to pose threats and causes damage to its ecosystem. This article selects the grain data correction equivalent factor coefficients in Guizhou Province, China, and establishes accounting indicators for Karst scenic areas. It is found that the total economic value of ESs is as follows: Shanmuhe Scenic Area (CNY 5096.3 thousand) > DaXiaoQiKong Scenic Area (CNY 2778.6 thousand) > Huangguoshu Scenic Area (CNY 2130.7 thousand). Among them, the value of regulating services plays a dominant role in the composition of ESs, and the value of forests accounts for the largest proportion. Through web crawlers, tourism data can be acquired, and the Product–Experience–Feedback–Improvement (PEFI) model can be applied to reveal that tourists have a predominantly positive perception of Karst scenic areas. This indicates that karst landscape resources are deeply loved by domestic and foreign tourists, especially mountain, water and forest landscapes. Based on the results of the ES value accounting of the scenic area and the external perception data of tourists towards the scenic area, the eco-industry spatial layout development plan is formulated. According to local conditions, the development, construction, and protection of the scenic area are carried out, jointly promoting the realization of the ecological product value (EPV) of the Karst scenic area, to determine the optimal development direction of the eco-industry, and to promote the coordinated development of ecological resources and assets.

Abstract:Since the success of any tourism business is determined by tourism planning, development research and marketing, the first thing we review in this article is GIS application for tourism planning. Both tourism and IT increasingly provide strategic opportunities and powerful tools for economic growth, redistribution of wealth and development of equity around the globe. GIS technology offers great opportunities for the development of modern tourism applications using maps. This technology integrates common database operations such as query with the unique visualization and geographic analysis benefits offered by maps. GIS is used for bringing the georeferenced data (spatial and non spatial) of geographic location Zlatibor and Zlatar into digital maps. Each object is assigned to a thematic layer. Each layer combines related objects like roads, building, protected areas or watercourses. In this research the authors used GIS in three types of applications such as inventory, analysis and evaluation of plan based on tourism development.
