Abstract:Study on the environmental problems of tourism development is always popular in the karst area of Southwest China,where the eco-environment is frangible.The karst caves,surface eco-environment and waterscape are the most important resources for tourism development in karst area,which must be protected preferentially.Taking Suiyang County as a case,this paper analyzes some important aspects of the tourism environment in karst area and advances some practical measures on natural landscape protection.As a result,some common viewpoints on natural landscape protection of tourism development in karst area can be concluded as following:(1) The sediments in karst caves are especially frangible,which will be hardly renewed when destroyed.Therefore,it is necessary to take some protective measures before these caves are developed for tourism.In order to protect and manage these caves orderly,they should be classified to various groups according to their different values for scientific research,tourism etc.Anyway,some protective settings should be rightly put close to the sediments of carbonate to avoid damnification from tourists.On the premise of right estimate means,the tourism environment carrying capacity can be regarded as an effective tool for landscape protection and tourist management.Furthermore,it is important to establish caves evaluation and measurement system.(2) To protect surface eco-environment,it is necessary to zone a tourism area or a nature reserve area into different parts and different grades to set up a new spatial pattern of environmental protection,so that people can clearly know which parts should be protected strictly,which parts must be only for scientific research and should be absolutely open to the tourists,etc.(3) Waterscape,such as chute,hotspring and underground,river is a vital part of the natural landscape in karst tourism area.Both depollution of waterscape and water-control are important during the tourism development process,but should be respectively emphasized particularly on different phases.Considering some tourism activities depend on waterscape,the control of tourism environment carrying capacity is also important.
