Abstract:In this paper we consider the Hölder continuity, local linearity, linear independence, and interpolation problem of theM-band scaling function, with a filter having vanishing moments two and minimal length. In particular, we find some new properties that are not true whenM=2, such as local linearity, local linear dependence, differentiability at adjointM-adic points, and interpolation problem at integer knots.

Abstract:In this paper, a new method is presented for designing M-band biorthogonal symmetric wavelets. The design problem of biorthogonal linear-phase scaling filters and wavelet filters as a quadratic programming problem with the linear constraints is formulated. The closed-form solution is given and a design example is presented.

Abstract:We consider a category of continuous Hilbert space representations and a category of smooth Frechet representations, of a real Jacobi group $G$. By Mackey's theory, they are respectively equivalent to certain categories of representations of a real reductive group $\widetilde L$. Within these categories, we show that the two functors of taking smooth vectors for $G$, and for $\widetilde L$, are consistent with each other. By using Casselman-Wallach's theory of smooth representations of real reductive groups, we define matrix coefficients for distributional vectors of certain representations of $G$. We also formulate Gelfand-Kazhdan criteria for Jacobi groups which could be used to prove the multiplicity one theorem for Fourier-Jacobi models.

Abstract:For every genuine irreducible admissible smooth representation $\pi$ of the metaplectic group $\widetilde{{\rm Sp}}(2n)$ over a $p$-adic field, and every smooth oscillator representation $\omega_\psi$ of $\widetilde{{\rm Sp}}(2n)$, we prove that the tensor product $\pi\otimes\omega_\psi$ is multiplicity free as a smooth representation of the symplectic group ${\rm Sp}(2n)$. Similar results are proved for general linear groups and unitary groups.

Abstract:We show that certain space of vector valued harmonic weak Maass forms of half integral weight is isomorphic to a space of scalar valued ones whose Fourier coefficients are supported on suitable progressions. This kind of result for holomorphic modular forms was proved by Eichler and Zagier.

Abstract:We derive integral representations for $(0,q)$-forms, $q\ge1$, on non-smooth strictly pseudoconvex domains, the Henkin-Leiterer domains. A $(0,q)$-form, $f$ is written in terms of integral operators acting on $f$, $\mdbar f$, and $\mdbar^{\ast} f$. The representation is applied to derive $L^{\infty}$ estimates.

Abstract:In this paper we study a class of Fourier integral operators, whose symbols lie in the multi-parameter Hörmander class $S^{\vec m}( \mathbb{R}^\vn)$, where ~$\vec m=(m_1,m_2,\dots,m_d)$ is the order. We show that if in addition the phase function $\Phi(x,\xi)$ can be written as $\Phi(x,\xi)=\sum_{i=1}^d\Phi_i(x_i,\xi_i)$, and each $\Phi_i(x_i,\xi_i)$ satisfies the non-degeneracy condition, then such Fourier integral operators with order ~$\vec m=(-(n_1-1)/2, -(n_2-1)/2,\dots, -(n_d-1)/2)$ are actually bounded from rectangular Hardy space $H_{rect}^1(\mathbb{R}^\vn)$ to $L^1( \mathbb{R}^n )$.

Abstract:In this paper, we study wavelet filters and their dependence on two numbers, the scale N and the genus g. We show that the wavelet filters, in the quadrature mirror case, have a harmonic analysis which is based on representations of the C^*-algebra O_N. A main tool in our analysis is the infinite-dimensional group of all maps T -> U(N) (where U(N) is the group of all unitary N-by-N matrices), and we study the extension problem from low-pass filter to multiresolution filter using this group.

Abstract:We establish a rationality result for linear combinations of traces of cycle integrals of certain meromorphic Hilbert modular forms. These are meromorphic counterparts to the Hilbert cusp forms $\omega_m(z_1,z_2)$, which Zagier investigated in the context of the Doi-Naganuma lift. We give an explicit formula for these cycle integrals, expressed in terms of the Fourier coefficients of harmonic Maass forms. A key element in our proof is the explicit construction of locally harmonic Hilbert-Maass forms on $\mathbb{H}^2$, which are analogous to the elliptic locally harmonic Maass forms examined by Bringmann, Kane, and Kohnen. Additionally, we introduce a regularized theta lift that maps elliptic harmonic Maass forms to locally harmonic Hilbert-Maass forms and is closely related to the Doi-Naganuma lift.

Complex Analysis and Operator Theory

Abstract:Cauchy–Pompeiu and Bochner–Martinelli–Koppelman integral representation formulas in Clifford and complex analysis are related to Euclidean Dirac operator , operator , and two associated kernels. The article analyzes couples , where is a homogeneous first-order differential operator on with constant coefficients in a Banach algebra , and is a smooth kernel homogeneous of degree . Operator-kernel couples have integral representation formulas, which in addition to expected components include remainders. The two main results identify operator-kernel couples that yield Cauchy–Pompeiu and Bochner–Martinelli–Koppelman formulas. The formulas are used to derive quantitative Hartogs–Rosenthal theorems for such couples. The concepts of Dirac and semi-Dirac pairs of differential operators point out the role played by Laplace operators as part of the general approach.

Abstract:Modular Graph Functions (MGFs) are SL(2,$\mathbb{Z}$)-invariant functions that emerge in the study of the low-energy expansion of the one-loop closed string amplitude. To find the string scattering amplitude, we must integrate MGFs over the moduli space of the torus. In this paper, we use the iterated integral representation of MGFs to establish a depth-dependent basis for them, where "depth" refers to the number of iterations in the integral. This basis has a suitable Laplace equation. We integrate this basis from depth zero to depth three over the fundamental domain of SL(2,$\mathbb{Z}$) with a cut-off.

Abstract:We~describe the Dirichlet space of $M$-harmonic functions, i.e.~functions annihilated by the invariant Laplacian on~the unit ball of the complex $n$-space, as~the limit of the analytic continuation (in~the spirit of Rossi and Vergne) of the corresponding weighted Bergman spaces. Characterizations in terms of tangential derivatives are given, and the associated inner product is shown to be Moebius invariant. The pluriharmonic and harmonic cases are also briefly treated.

Abstract:We extend prior work to derive three additional M-1-dimensional integral representations--over the interval $[0,1]$ --for products of M Slater orbitals that allows their magnitudes of coordinate vector differences (square roots of polynomials) $|{\bf x}_{1}-{\bf x}_{2}|=\sqrt{x_{1}^{2}-2x_{1}x_{2}\cos\theta+x_{2}^{2}}$ to be moved from disjoint products of functions into a single quadratic form whose square my be completed. This provides more alternatives to Fourier transforms that introduce a 3M-dimensional momentum integral for those products of Slater orbitals, followed by another set of M-1-dimensional integral representations to combine those denominators into one denominator having a single (momentum) quadratic form. The current work is also slightly more compact than Gaussian transforms that introduce an M-dimensional integral for products of M Slater orbitals.

Abstract:Abstract In this paper we consider a family of 3m-indices generalizations of the classical Mittag-Leffler function, called multi-index (3m-parametric) Mittag-Leffler functions. We survey the basic properties of these entire functions, find their order and type, and new representations by means of Mellin-Barnes type contour integrals, Wright pΨq-functions and Fox H-functions, asymptotic estimates. Formulas for integer and fractional order integration and differentiations are found, and these are extended also for the operators of the generalized fractional calculus (multiple Erdélyi-Kober operators). Some interesting particular cases of the multi-index Mittag-Leffler functions are discussed. The convergence of series of such type functions in the complex plane is considered, and analogues of the Cauchy-Hadamard, Abel, Tauber and Littlewood theorems are provided.
