Abstract:Firstly ,the new Euler‐Lagrange type cubic functional equation f (x+ y -2z)+f(y+ z -2x)+ f(z+ x -2y)+ 6f (x+ y+ z)= 9[f (x+ y)+ f (y+ z)+ f (z + x)] -18[f(x)+ f(y)+ f(z)] in Banach spaces was investigated .Secondly ,equivalence of six functional equations was discussed . Lastly , by using the fixed pointed alternative , the general solution to the above functional equation was given and the stability of cubic functional equation was proved .

Abstract:Mignotte and Pethö used the Siegel-Baker method to find all the integral solutions (x, y, z) of the system of Diophantine equations x (2) - 6y (2) = -5 and x = 2z (2) - 1. In this paper, we extend this result and put forward a generalized method which can completely solve the family of systems of Diophantine equations x (2) - 6y (2) = -5 and x = az (2) - b for each pair of integral parameters a, b. The proof utilizes algebraic number theory and p-adic analysis which successfully avoid discussing the class number and factoring the ideals.

Abstract:Let $f\in {\mathbb {Q}}[X]$ be a polynomial without multiple roots and $deg(f)\ge 2$. We consider the Diophantine equation $f(x)f(y)=f(z^2)$. For two classes of irreducible quadratic polynomials, this equation has infinitely many nontrivial integer solutions, if the corresponding Pell’s equations satisfy a condition. For a special cubic polynomial, it has a one-parameter family of rational solutions. For $f(X)=X(X^2+X+k)$ and $X(X^2+kX+1)$ there are infinitely many $k \in {\mathbb {Q}}$ such that the title equation has rational solutions.

Abstract:Global in time well-posedness of $H^2$ solutions and $z$-weak solutions of the 3D Primitive equations in a bounded cylindrical domain is proved. More specifically, uniform in time boundedness and bounded absorbing sets are obtained for both $H^2$ solutions and $z$-weak solutions, as well as uniqueness of the $z$-weak solution for the 3D Primitive equations. The result for $H^2$ solutions improves a recent one proved in[6]. The result for $z$-weak solution positively resolves the problem of global existence and uniqueness of $z$-weak solutions of the 3D primitive equations, which has been open since the work of [14].

Abstract:We consider a variety of Euler's conjecture, i.e., whether the Diophantine system n=a_1+a_2+⋯+a_s-1, a_1a_2⋯ a_s-1(a_1+a_2+⋯+a_s-1)=b^s has solutions n,b,a_i∈ℤ^+,i=1,2,…,s-1,s≥ 3. By using the theory of elliptic curves, we prove that it has no solutions n,b,a_i∈ℤ^+ for s=3, but for s=4 it has infinitely many solutions n,b,a_i∈ℤ^+ and for s≥ 5 there are infinitely many polynomial solutions n,b,a_i∈ℤ[t_1,t_2,…,t_s-3] with positive value satisfying this Diophantine system.

Abstract:The subject matter of this work are the two equations: x^4+y^4+z^4-2(x^2)(y^2)-2(y^2)(z^2)-2(z^2)(x^2)= n (1) And x^2+y^4+z^4-2x(y^2)-2x(z^2)-2(y^4)(z^4)= n (2) where n is a natural number. Contest Corner problem CC24, published in the May2012 issue of the journal Crux Mathematicorum(see reference[1]); provided the motivation behind this work. In Th.1, we show that eq.(1) if n=8N, N odd; then eq.(1) has no integer solutions; which generalizes problem CC24(the case n=24). We use Th.2, to find some rational solutions of eq.(1); which answers the second question in CC24. In Th.4, we show that if n= p, 4, or pq; where p and q are distinct primes. Then eq.(1)has no integer solutions. In Th.6, we determine all the integer solutions to (1), when n=p^2, p an odd prime. Theorems 7 through13, deal with equation (2). In Th.11, we determine all the integer solutions of eq.(2). Th.12 states that (2) has no integer solutions in n is congruent to 2 or 3 modulo4. Finally, in Th.13 we determine all the rational solutions of eq.(2).

Abstract:General high-order rational solutions are derived for the (3+1)-dimensional Jimbo–Miwa equation based on the Hirota bilinear form. The solutions are presented in terms of Gram determinants; the elements of determinants are connected to Schur polynomials and have simple algebraic expressions. Their dynamic behaviors are researched using three-dimensional imagery and contour plots. It is revealed that different kinds of solutions appear in ( x , y ) plane and ( y , z ) plane. When one of these internal parameters in the rational solutions is sufficiently large, in ( x , y ) plane Lump solutions appear with obvious geometric structures, which are deconstructed by a first-order Lump such as triangle, pentagon, and nonagon, among others; in ( y , z ) plane rational line soliton solutions with maximum background amplitude changing over time appear. These findings might help us comprehend the nonlinear wave propagation processes in the many nonlinear physical systems.

Abstract:For the three-dimensional (3D) quasilinear wave equation Sigma(3)(i, j=0) g(ij) (partial derivative u)partial derivative(2)(ij) u = 0 with coefficients independent of the solution u, a blowup result or global existence result has been completely established provided that the null condition does not hold or holds, respectively. In this paper and a subsequent paper (see [D. Bingbing, W. Ingo, and Y. Huicheng, The Small Data Solutions of General 3-D Quasilinear Wave Equations. II, preprint, 2014]), we will systematically study the more general 3D quasilinear wave equation Sigma(3)(i, j=0) g(ij) (u, partial derivative u)partial derivative(2)(ij) u = 0 with coefficients depending simultaneously on u and partial derivative u. When the weak null condition holds, we show that the smooth small data solution exists globally in the paper.
