Abstract:Tea polyphenols is an ideal natural anti-oxidant,which has being widely applied in many fields.The methods of extraction of tea polyphenols from green tea have been become one of hot points of tea research.In the present paper,methods of extraction of tea polyphonols from green tea were reviewed,including solvent extraction,ionic precipitation,supercritical CO2 extraction,resin adsorption,ultrasonic assistant extraction,microwave assistant extraction and so on.We also discussed basic principle,producing routine and advantage or disadvantage of each method at the same time.

Abstract:The volatile components of wine have a great influence on its characteristic flavor,and extraction is a vital step in analysis of the volatile components in wine. In this paper,the main and new extraction technique for volatile components in wine:headspace extraction,simultaneous distillation-extraction,solid phase microextraction,stir bar sorptive extraction,headspace sorptive extraction and solid phase dynamic extraction were introduced. The theory,the main procedure,the strengthes and weaknesses of these extraction technique were also concluded . Besides,we also concluded the application of them in detail.

Abstract:Extraction is the critical link during pharmaceutical process of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), which is directly related to the quality of drugs. So the key to technology upgrading of pharmaceutical equipment in Chinese materia medica enterprise is the development of new extraction techniques, which concerns the modernization of TCM. In this paper, fundamentals, traits, and development status of new extraction technologies were firstly introduced, including ultrasound extraction, microwave extraction, super fluid extraction, semi-bionic extraction method, enzymatic treatment extraction, continuous countercurrent extraction, vacuum extraction. Then information of projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China was analyzed in order to recognize the assistance and research results of new extraction techniques. The patents authorized by the State Intellectual Property Office were also summarized for the purpose of understanding the achievement transformation. The information about extraction equipments was collected and screened to acquire the characteristics and market situation. The results showed that there are still problems about new extraction technologies, such as weak basic study, hard transformation of achievements, and the disconnection between research study and practical application. It is necessary to discuss the approaches and methods for accelerating the transformation of fundamental research, which will provide references for the long-term development of new extraction techniques of TCM.

Abstract:Flavonoids are the main biological components in propolis, which are known for a variety of structures and biological activities. Flavonoids are one of research hotspots of natural product. In this article, the new extraction technologies of flavonoids were introudced at home and abroad, such as aqueous two phase extraction, semi-bionic extraction, high intensity pulsed electric fields, membrane separation, column chromatography, and aims to provide a reference for the future research and applications of propolis flavonoids.

Abstract:The extraction and separation of effective components from Chinese herb and natural plant is one of the most important processes of natural medicine production. Recently, more and more advanced techniques have been used in the field of modern Chinese medicines, for example, microwave-assisted extraction (MAE). Developed on the base of traditional extracting technology using by organic solvents, MAE is of higher extraction rate and efficiency and better extract quality, as well as few investment, simple equipment, wide adaptability, high selectivity, good fidelity and no pollution. This paper mainly reviews the action principle and characteristic of MAE and its application in the extraction of natural products such as flavonoids, glycosides, polysaccharides, terpenoids and essence. Otherwise, the developing foreground of MAE is also prospected here.

Abstract:Tea volatiles are important components of tea aroma,which has great impact on sensory quality of tea.The present paper reviews the formation of aromatic volatiles in various kinds of tea and the related factors influencing the formation of tea volatiles,including tea cultivar,growing environment and agronomic practices,processing techniques and storage conditions.The identification and quantitative analysis of tea volatile components and the relationship of aromatic volatiles with the sensory quality of various kinds of tea are also discussed.

Abstract:Objective: To study the optimum technical conditions of extracting Hydroxysafflor yellow A ( HSYA) from Carthmus tinctorius by multi-stage countercurrent extraction technology. Method: The effects of extraction time of each stage, extraction temperature, ethanol concentration and solid-liquid ratio (g • mL-1 ) on extraction yield of HSYA were studied by orthogonal test design and the comparison of other extraction methods were presented. Result: Extraction time and solid-liquid ratio had significant influence on the extraction yield, and the optimum parameters were as follows: Extraction time of each stage was 120 min, solid-liquid ratio was 1:10 (g • mL-1), ethanol concentration was 30% , and extracted at room temperature. Under the optimum conditions, the extraction yield of HSYA was 1.56% and the purity of the extract was 6.06%. Compared with the traditional extraction method and the ultrasonic extraction method of the pharmacopoeia, the extraction yield was increased by 6.12% and 9.09% , the purity of extract was increased by 42.9% and 27.0% , respectively. Conclusion: The multi-stage countercurrent extraction technology has many advantages such as simple operation, less solvent consumption, higher extraction yield and purity of extract and it has wide industrial application prospect.

Abstract:The paper sums up the research progress on rice flavor, including the inspection method, ingredient, inheritance, DNA map, influence factor and Flavor Rice breeding. The comparative test between the research results in China and abroad show the major flavor DNA is the same in the Chinese and overseas, yet some special flavors in China probably contains different DNA. Many Chinese researchers believe that there are some minor genes and it is hard to account for the flavor diversity with one coupe of recessive genes.

Abstract:Terpenoids possess significant physiological activities and are rich in essential oils. Some terpenoids have chiral centers and could form enantiomers with distinct physiological activities. Therefore, the extraction and separation of terpenoids enantiomers are very important and have attracted extensive attention in recent years. Meanwhile, the specific distribution and enantiomer excess results (the excess of one enantiomer over the other in a mixture of enantiomers) could be used as quality markers for illegitimate adulteration, origin identification, and exploring component variations and functional interrelations across different plant tissues. In this study, an overview of the progress in the extraction of terpenoids from essential oils and the separation of their enantiomers over the past two decades has been made. Extraction methods were retrieved by the resultant network visualization findings. The results showed that the predominant methods are hydrodistillation, solvent-free microwave extraction, headspace solid-phase microextraction and supercritical fluid extraction methods. GC-MS combined with chiral chromatography columns is commonly used for the separation of enantiomers, while 2D GC is found to have stronger resolution ability. Finally, some prospects for future research directions in the extraction and separation identification of essential oils are proposed.

Abstract:Alkaloids are the effective ingredients in many Chinese herbs.The extraction and purification technology is the key issue in alkaloid preparation.At present,the commonly used extraction technology includes decoction,circumfluence,maceration and percolation.The purification technology includes organic solvent extraction,adsorption chromatography,ion-exchange resin adsorption and macro-porous resin adsorption.New technologies such as ultrasound,microwave,supercritical fluid extraction,molecular imprinting and membrane separation technology are used to increase efficiency and save energy of the extraction and purification process.The methods and the application of new technologies in extracting and purifying alkaloids are reviewed.Moreover the prospect of alkaloid preparation is discussed.
