Activity-Based Model for Tourist's Trip-Chain Choice Behavior

Abstract:Based on the survey of tourists in Beijing,the tourist trip chaining behaviors were analyzed by Multinomial Logit model.Tourists travel attributes and personal attributes were considered to have a significant effect on the trip chain,and the allocation of time is also taken into consideration.The result demonstrates that six variables,including age,occupation,travel time,local tourists or not,be familiar with attraction or not,allocation of time,have significant impact on trip chain choice.The results show that the proposed model is of high accuracy,which can provide a theoretical basis for prediction of tourist travel.
