Abstract:We establish the existence of triple positive solutions of an m-point boundary value problem for the nonlinear singular second-order differential equations of mixed type with a p-Laplacian operator by Leggett-William fixed point theorem. At last, we give an example to demonstrate the use of the main result of this paper. The conclusions in this paper essentially extend and improve the known results.

Combining the method of constructing Green functions with operators defined piecewise, the existence result of positive solutions to a singular second order three-point boundary value problem is established. Abstract:We analytically establish the conditions for the existence of at least two or three positive solutions in the generalized -point boundary value problem for the -Laplacian dynamic equations on time scales by means of the Avery-Henderson fixed point theorem and the five functionals fixed point theorem. Furthermore, we illustrate the possible application of our analytical results with a concrete and nontrivial dynamic equation on specific time scales.

Abstract:In this article, we study a class of boundary value problems with p-Laplacian. By using a “Green-like” functional and applying the fixed point index theory, we obtain eigenvalue criteria for the existence of positive solutions. Several explicit conditions are derived as consequences, and further results are established for the multiplicity and nonexistence of positive solutions. Extensions are also given to partial differential BVPs with p-Laplacian defined on annular domains.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider the following multipoint boundary value problem with one-dimensional ϕ-Laplacian (ϕ(x′(t)))′+q(t)f(t,x(t),x′(t))=0,t∈(0,1),x(0)=∑i=1n−2αix(ξi),ϕ(x′(1))=∑i=1n−2βiϕ(x′(ξi)), where ϕ(⋅) is an odd and increasing homeomorphism, ξi∈(0,1) with 0<ξ1<ξ2<⋯<ξn−2<1, αi and βi are nonnegative constants and f(t,x(t),x′(t)) is continuous and allowed to change sign. By fixed point theorems, we obtain new results on the existence of at least three positive solutions of this boundary value problem, which includes and improves some related results in the relevant literature.

Abstract:In this paper, we study a two-point boundary value problem involving p -Laplacian and its relationship with the associated discrete ones. Specifically, by using discrete variational methods, we first obtain a sequence of positive solutions for the associated discrete two-point boundary value problems corresponding to different step lengths. Then, utilizing the sequence of positive solutions, we construct a sequence of continuous functions which can be shown to be precompact. Finally, we prove that the limit function of the convergent subsequence is the desired positive solution. In particular, our result covers the cases when the nonlinear function in the equation is -superlinear and asymptotically -linear.

Abstract:Research about multiple positive solutions for fractional differential equations is very important. Based on some outstanding results reported in this field, this paper continue the focus on this topic. By using the properties of the Green function and generalized Avery–Henderson fixed point theorem, we derive three positive solutions of a class of fractional differential equations with a p-Laplacian operator. We also study the nonexistence of positive solutions to the eigenvalue problem of the equation. Three examples are given to illustrate our main result.

Abstract:The existence of positive solutions to p-Laplace nonlinear elliptic system with Dirichlet boundary conditions is investigated.First,with the symmetry of the p-Laplace system and Mountain Pass Theorem,the form solution to the corresponding single equation of the original system is obtained and its positiveness is proved.The positive sup-solution to the original system is obtained.Second,the appropriate mapping is structured with the solution to decoupled system in the intervals of sub-super solutions.Finally,with the Leray-Schauder's fixed point theorem,the existence of positive solutions is obtained.

Abstract:This paper investigates the existence, multiplicity, nonexistence, and uniqueness of positive solutions to a kind of two-point boundary value problem for nonlinear fractional differential equations withp-Laplacian operator. By using fixed point techniques combining with partially ordered structure of Banach space, we establish some criteria for existence and uniqueness of positive solution of fractional differential equations withp-Laplacian operator in terms of different value of parameter. In particular, the dependence of positive solution on the parameter was obtained. Finally, several illustrative examples are given to support the obtained new results. The study of illustrative examples shows that the obtained results are applicable.
