Abstract:Virtual reality is now becoming matured for serious engineering applications. This paper describes an integrated multi-modal virtual design and virtual assembly environment within which the designers are enabled to create both the exact solid model of a part and the assembly model of a product in 3D space by direct 3D manipulations and voice commands intuitively and easily. Assembly planning can also be performed by users interactively in the environment. By integrating virtual assembly with virtual design, designers are allowed to modify components of an assembly in the same virtual environment without the need of time-consuming data exchange between virtual environment and CAD tools.

Abstract:In order to need the demand of dispersed collaborative web-based design and manufacture,using SolidWorks software,programming languages with VB and technology of DCOM/Active,a virtual assembly system was provided by inosculating all kinds of mature web technologies.The designs of the system were introduced in concision,and some critical technology of the process of developing software was given.The parametric design of using Solidworks and the process was expatiated.The three-dimensional parameterized design of simple part was realized,which simplifies the modeling process and raises the modeling efficiency,and it is good for companies to reduce the design period and to gain broad market acceptance.

Abstract:In order to improve the deficiency of the traditional methods of product design, using SolidWorks software, SQL Server database management system and programming languages with VB, a virtual assembly system was provided by inosculating distributed network technology, which meeted the demand of dispersed collaborative digital design and manufacture. We studied some enabling technologies. An attempt of the use of this virtual assembly system in the machine tools was made, a detailed implementation was also given in the end.

Abstract:Pro/E secondary development method based on Internet B/S structure is presented.A common product model parameterized reconstruction system is developed by using VC++,Pro/TOOLKIT and data base technology.In the system,the data sharing of model library and parameters is realized,the efficiency of model parameterized reconstruction is improved and the scope of Pro/E secondary development application is extended.Especially,a model parameterized method is provided for Web application,which is used to develop more powerful and widely used Web application.The proposed methods are verified in the fixture design practice by a company.

Abstract:Aimed at disadvantages of tedious work of the Gear Transmission design, Visual Fortran is taken as the development platform, and design data are stored and managed by self-developed program and database technology. A CAD System for Gear Transmission named GTCS is researched and developed. The system integrates designing and drawing in a body, and fully uses the powerful numerical calculation function of Visual Fortran and the function of Windows interface design, as well as the secondary development function of AutoCAD and database technology, etc. The software can realize designing and calculating of involute gear transmission mechanism, automatic drawing and various kinds of results post-processing. Results show that the research results greatly improved the efficiency and quality of the design. The result documents are easily accessible by other structural analysis software (such as SolidWorks, ANSYS, ADINA, etc) and similar design software, and convenient to use for the follow-up work.

Abstract:On the basis of introduction to the mechanical system virtual assembly technology,this paper uses the virtual assembly technology to simulate the process of the reduction gear.Through constructing its three dimensional solid model on the AutoCAD2004 platform,and designing dynamic assembling for the reduction gear by using its re-development technology VB.NE ,it realizes the man-machine experimental operation process in which there will be indication when wrong operation occurs,achieves the purpose of the experimental teaching reducer assembly ,and the difficulties,which is existed in the colleges and universities,of lack of equipments in practical training,types which is out of date ,can be solved ,the conditions and quality of practical learning are also been expected to be improved and this paper also supplies a responsible testing method for the improvement and optimization of the reduction gear.
