Abstract:A high performance sodium lignosulfonate dispersant (NaLS) was developed by oxidation, sulfomethylation and polymerization from the raw lignosulfonate (SXMN),which was recovered from pulping waste liquor. The sulfonic groups content of NaLS was 1.96 mmol/g,and its weight average molecular mass was as high as 16,000. NaLS was then used as the dispersant of dimethomorph water dispersible granules (DWG) and its application properties were measured. The results showed that before heat storage the suspending rate of DWG was higher than 90%,the disintegrative time and wetting time were all less than 60 s. These indexes were equal to that of the imported products. After heat storage, the suspending rate of DWG was also higher than 90%,which was better than that of the imported dispersants. Furthermore, all the indexes were better than that of SXMN.
