Abstract:We show that the KZ system has a topological interpretation in the sense that it may be understood as a variation of complex mixed Hodge structure whose successive pure weight quotients are polarized. This in a sense completes and elucidates work of Schechtman-Varchenko done in the early 1990's. A central ingredient is a. new realization of the irreducible highest weight representations of a Lie algebra of Kac-Moody type, namely on an algebra of rational polydifferentials on a countable product of Riemann spheres. We also obtain the kind of properties that in the sl(2) case are due to Ramadas and are then known to imply the unitarity of the WZW system in genus zero.

Abstract:Recent work on the zero temperature phases and phase transitions of strongly random electronic system is reviewed. The transition between the spin glass and quantum paramagnet is examined, for both metallic and insulating systems. Insight gained from the solution of infinite range models leads to a quantum field theory for the transition between a metallic quantum paramagnetic and a metallic spin glass. The finite temperature phase diagram is described and crossover functions are computed in mean field theory. A study of fluctuations about mean field leads to the formulation of scaling hypotheses.

Abstract:A local bifurcation analysis of a high-dimensional dynamical system dxdt=f(x) is performed using a good deformation of the polynomial mapping P:Cn→Cn. This theory is used to construct geometric aspects of the resolution of multiple zeros of the polynomial vector field P(x). Asymptotic bifurcation rules are derived from Grothendieck's theory of residuals. Following the Coxeter–Dynkin classification, the singularity graph is constructed. A detailed study of three types of multidimensional mappings with a large symmetry group has been carried out, namely: 1. A linear singularity (behaves similarly to a one-dimensional complex analysis theory); 2. The lattice singularity (generalized the linear and resembling regular crystal growth models); 3. The fan-shaped singularity (can be split radially like nuclear fission and fusion models).

Abstract:We define a system of "dynamical" differential equations compatible with the KZ differential equations. The KZ differential equations are associated to a complex simple Lie algebra $\mathbf{g}$. These are equations on a function of $n$ complex variables $z_i$ taking values in the tensor product of $n$ finite dimensional $\mathbf{g}$-modules. The KZ equations depend on the "dual" variable in the Cartan subalgebra of $\mathbf{g}$. The dynamical differential equations are differential equations with respect to the dual variable. We prove that the standard hypergeometric solutions of the KZ equations also satisfy the dynamical equations. As an application we give a new determinant formula for the coordinates of a basis of hypergeometric solutions.

Abstract:We relate Berezin-Toeplitz quantization of higher rank vector bundles to quantum-classical hybrid systems and quantization in stages of symplectic fibrations. We apply this picture to the analysis and geometry of vector bundles, including the spectral gap of the Berezin transform and the convergence rate of Donaldson's iterations towards balanced metrics on stable vector bundles. We also establish refined estimates in the scalar case to compute the rate of Donaldson's iterations towards balanced metrics on Kähler manifolds with constant scalar curvature.

Asymptotic Boundary KZB Operators and Quantum Calogero-Moser Spin Chains

Abstract:Asymptotic boundary KZB equations describe the consistency conditions of degenerations of correlation functions for boundary Wess-Zumino-Witten-Novikov conformal field theory on a cylinder. In the first part of the paper we define asymptotic boundary KZB operators for connected real semisimple Lie groups G with finite center. We prove their main properties algebraically using coordinate versions of Harish-Chandra’s radial component map. We show that their commutativity is governed by a system of equations involving coupled versions of classical dynamical Yang-Baxter equations and reflection equations. We use the coordinate radial components maps to introduce a new class of quantum superintegrable systems, called quantum Calogero-Moser spin chains. A quantum CalogeroMoser spin chain is a mixture of a quantum spin Calogero-Moser system associated to the restricted root system of G and an one-dimensional spin chain with two-sided reflecting boundaries. The asymptotic boundary KZB operators provide explicit expressions for its first order quantum Hamiltonians. We also explicitly describe the Schrödinger operator.
$Z$-critical equations for holomorphic vector bundles on Kähler surfaces

Abstract:We prove that the existence of a $Z$-positive and $Z$-critical Hermitian metric on a rank 2 holomorphic vector bundle over a compact Kähler surface implies that the bundle is $Z$-stable. As particular cases, we obtain stability results for the deformed Hermitian Yang-Mills equation and the almost Hermite-Einstein equation for rank 2 bundles over surfaces. We show examples of $Z$-unstable bundles and $Z$-critical metrics away from the large volume limit.

Abstract:Affine analogues of the Q-functions are constructed using folded instantons partition functions. They are shown to be the solutions of the quantum spectral curve of the N-body elliptic Calogero-Moser (eCM) system, the quantum Krichever curve. They also solve the elliptic analogue of the quantum Wronskian equation. In the companion paper we present the quantum analogue of Krichever's Lax operator for eCM. A connection to crossed instantons on Taub-Nut spaces, and opers on a punctured torus is pointed out.

Abstract:In this paper, we explore the quantization of Kähler manifolds, focusing on the relationship between deformation quantization and geometric quantization. We provide a classification of degree 1 formal quantizable functions in the Berezin-Toeplitz deformation quantization, establishing that these formal functions are of the form $f = f_0 - \frac{\hbar}{4\pi}(\Delta f_0 + c)$ for a certain smooth (non-formal) function $f_0$. If $f_0$ is real-valued then $f_0$ corresponds to a Hamiltonian Killing vector field. In the presence of Hamiltonian $G$-symmetry, we address the compatibility between the infinitesimal symmetry for deformation quantization via quantum moment map and infinitesimal symmetry on geometric quantization acting on Hilbert spaces of holomorphic sections via Berezin-Toeplitz quantization.

Abstract:We show that Shakirov's non-stationary difference equation, when it is truncated, implies the quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov ($q$-KZ) equation for $U_{\mathsf v}\bigl(A_1^{(1)}\bigr)$ with generic spins. Namely, we can tune mass parameters so that the Hamiltonian acts on the space of finite Laurent polynomials. Then the representation matrix of the Hamiltonian agrees with the $R$-matrix, or the quantum $6j$ symbols. On the other hand, we prove that the $K$ theoretic Nekrasov partition function from the affine Laumon space is identified with the well-studied Jackson integral solution to the $q$-KZ equation. Combining these results, we establish that the affine Laumon partition function gives a solution to Shakirov's equation, which was a conjecture in our previous paper. We also work out the base-fiber duality and four-dimensional limit in relation with the $q$-KZ equation.

Abstract:Banks--Panzer--Pym have shown that the volume integrals appearing in Kontsevich's deformation quantization formula always evaluate to integer-linear combinations of multiple zeta values (MZVs). We prove a sort of converse, which they conjectured in their work, namely that with the logarithmic propagator: (1) the coefficients associated to the graphs appearing at order $\hbar^n$ in the quantization formula generate the Q-vector space of weight-$n$ MZVs, and (2) the set of all coefficients generates the Z-module of MZVs. In order to prove this result, we develop a new technique for integrating Kontsevich graphs using polylogarithms and apply it to an infinite subset of Kontsevich graphs. Then, using the binary string representation of MZVs and the Lyndon word decomposition of binary strings, we show that this subset of graphs generates all MZVs.

Abstract:We give a complex two-dimensional noncommutative locally symmetric Kähler manifold via a deformation quantization with separation of variables. We present an explicit formula of its star product by solving the system of recurrence relations given by Hara-Sako. In the two-dimensional case, this system of recurrence relations gives two types of equations corresponding to the two coordinates. From the two types of recurrence relations, symmetrized and antisymmetrized recurrence relations are obtained. The symmetrized one gives the solution of the recurrence relation. From the antisymmetrized one, the identities satisfied by the solution are obtained. The star products for $\mathbb{C}^{2}$ and $\mathbb{C}P^{2}$ are constructed by the method obtained in this study, and we verify that these star products satisfy the identities.

Abstract:We construct integral representations of solutions to the boundary quantum Knizhnik–Zamolodchikov equations. These are difference equations taking values in tensor products of Verma modules of quantum affine sl2, with the K-operators acting diagonally. The integrands in question are products of scalar-valued elliptic weight functions with vector-valued trigonometric weight functions (boundary Bethe vectors). These integrals give rise to a basis of solutions of the boundary qKZ equations over the field of quasi-constant meromorphic functions in weight subspaces of the tensor product.

Abstract:To a complex symplectic manifold X we associate a canonical quantization algebroid. Our construction is similar to that of Polesello-Schapira's deformation-quantization algebroid, but the deformation parameter is no longer central. If X is compact, the triangulated category of regular holonomic quantization modules is a linear complex Calabi-Yau category of dimension 1 + dim X.

Abstract:In this article we define Odzijewicz, Berezin and Fedosov-type quantization on compact smooth manifolds. The method is as follows. We embed the smooth manifold of real dimension $n$ into ${\mathbb C}P^n$ (and in the Fedosov quantization case embed into any real $2n$ dimensional symplectic manifold). The pullback coherent states are defined in the usual way. In the Odzijewicz-type, Berezin-type quantization the Hilbert space of geometric quantization is the pullback by the embedding of the Hilbert space of geometric quantization of ${\mathbb C}P^n$. In the Berezin case, the operators that are quantized are those induced from the ambient space. The Berezin-type quantization exhibited here is a generalization of an earlier work of the author and Kohinoor Ghosh (where we had needed totally real embedding). The Fedosov-type quantization is carried out by restriction to the submanifold given by the embedding.

Abstract:We study the relationship between integrable Landau-Zener (LZ) models and Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov (KZ) equations. The latter are originally equations for the correlation functions of two-dimensional conformal field theories, but can also be interpreted as multi-time Schrödinger equations. The general LZ problem is to find the probabilities of tunneling from eigenstates at $t=t_\text{in}$ to the eigenstates at $t\to+\infty$ for an $N\times N$ time-dependent Hamiltonian $\hat H(t)$. A number of such problems are exactly solvable in the sense that the tunneling probabilities are elementary functions of Hamiltonian parameters and time-dependent wavefunctions are special functions. It has recently been proposed that exactly solvable LZ models map to KZ equations. Here we use this connection to identify and solve various integrable hyperbolic LZ models $\hat H(t)=\hat A+\hat B/t$ for $N=2, 3$, and $4$, where $\hat A$ and $\hat B$ are time-independent matrices. Some of these models have been considered, though not fully solved, before and others are entirely new.
