Clinical Value of Nitroglycerin Used for Aged Patients Extraction While Blood Pressure Obviously Increase

Abstract:Objective To evaluate the efficacy of nitroglycerin tablet by the sublingual administration on controlling hypertension during tooth extraction on aged patients.Methods 90 aged patients with hypertension during teeth extraction were randomly divided into observation group and control group,60 cases in observation group were given nitroglycerin tablet by the sublingual administration and 30 cases in control group were given captopril tablet by the sublingual administration.Effective rate of controlling blood pressure and heart rate variation of the two groups in 3min,6min and 9min respectively were compared and analysed statistically.Results Efficacy of blood pressure controlling in observation group was higher than in control group.Heart rate variation of the two groups had no statistically significance.Conclusion Nitroglycerin tablet by the sublingual administration on the aged patients with obviously high blood pressure during tooth extraction can be used safely and conveniently as well as the time of onset of effects was quick and dosage was easily controlled.
