Abstract:The authors think that the orientation of education in library and information science in China and U.S.A.in the digital age should be defense and extension,i.e.to defense existing advantages in education in library and information science and to extend the advantages from traditional fields to related fields,especially newly-developing and cross-disciplinary fields.10 refs.
