Abstract:Objective To study the relation between age and PSA about the serum prostate specific antigen in the benign prostatic hyperplasia patients who had received operation.Methods A total of 369 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasis who had received operation were divided into four groups,the relation between age and PSA were analyzed.Results The PSA value,the mean,percentile,and median of prostate volume in the benign prostatic hyperplasia patients who had received operation were positively correlated with the age of patients,while the mean,percentile,and median of PSAD in different age groups remained the same.Conclusion The serum PSA value in the benign prostatic hyperplasia patients who had received operation is positively correlated with the age,while PSAD remains steady.
