Abstract:In this article, the concept of Gorenstein FP-injective modules and some related known results are generalized to Gorenstein FP-injective complexes. Moreover, some new characterizations of Gorenstein flat complexes are given. It is also proved that every complex has a Gorenstein flat preenvelope over coherent rings with finite self-FP-injective dimension.

Abstract:The so-called Ding-Chen ring is an n-FC ring which is both left and right coherent, and has both left and right self FP-injective dimensions at most n for sonic non-negative integer n. In this paper, we investigate the classes of the so-called Ding projective, Ding injective and Gorenstein flat modules and show that some homological properties of modules over Gorenstein rings can be generalized to the modules over Ding-Chen rings. We first consider Gorenstein flat and Ding injective dimensions of modules together with Ding injective precovers. We then discuss balance of functors Horn and tensor.

Abstract:Let R be a left coherent ring. It is proven that if an R-module M has a finite FP-injective dimension, then the Gorenstein projective (resp. Gorenstein flat) dimension and the projective (resp. flat)dimension coincide. Also, we obtain that the pair (GP,GP(&updatedExpOTTOM;)) forms a projective cotorsion pair under some mild conditions.

Abstract:Let R be a graded ring and n > 1 an integer. In this paper, We introduce the notions of Ding n-gr-injective and Ding n-gr-flat modules by using of special finitely presented graded modules . Then, some properties of Ding n-gr-injective and Ding n-gr-flat modules are obtained. On n-gr-coherent rings, we investigate the relationships among Ding n-gr-injective and Ding n-gr-flat modules and also, we prove that any graded module in R-gr (resp. gr-R) admits an Ding n-gr-injective (resp. Ding n-gr-flat) cover and preenvelope.

Abstract:An $n$-FC ring is a left and right coherent ring whose left and right self FP-injective dimension is $n$. The work of Ding and Chen in \cite{ding and chen 93} and \cite{ding and chen 96} shows that these rings possess properties which generalize those of $n$-Gorenstein rings. In this paper we call a (left and right) coherent ring with finite (left and right) self FP-injective dimension a Ding-Chen ring. In case the ring is Noetherian these are exactly the Gorenstein rings. We look at classes of modules we call Ding projective, Ding injective and Ding flat which are meant as analogs to Enochs' Gorenstein projective, Gorenstein injective and Gorenstein flat modules. We develop basic properties of these modules. We then show that each of the standard model structures on Mod-$R$, when $R$ is a Gorenstein ring, generalizes to the Ding-Chen case. We show that when $R$ is a commutative Ding-Chen ring and $G$ is a finite group, the group ring $R[G]$ is a Ding-Chen ring.

Abstract:Let R be a ring, n a fixed non-negative integer and FIn (F-n) the class of all right (left) R-modules of FP-injective (flat) dimension at most n. We prove that (FIn, FIn perpendicular to) is a perfect cotorsion theory if R is a right coherent ring with FP-id (R-R) <= n. This result was proven by Aldrich, Enochs, Jenda, and Oyonarte in Noetherian case. The modules in F-n(perpendicular to) are also studied. Some applications are given.

Abstract:Let $R$ be a ring. In \cite{MD4} Mao and Ding defined an special class of $R$-modules that they called $ FP_n $-projective $R$-modules. In this paper, we give some new characterizations of $ FP_n $-projective $R$-modules and strong $n$-coherent rings. Some known results are extended and some new characterizations of the $ FP_n $-injective global dimension in terms of $ FP_n $-projective $R$-modules are obtained. Using the $ FP_n $-projective dimension of an $R$-module defined by Ouyang, Duan and Li in \cite{Ouy} we introduce a slightly different $ FP_n $-projective global dimension over the ring $R$ which measures how far away the ring is from being Noetherian. This dimension agrees with the $(n,0)$-projective global dimension of \cite{Ouy} when the ring in question is strong $n$-coherent.

Abstract:In this article, we study the weak global dimension of coherent rings in terms of the left FP-injective resolutions of modules. Let R be a left coherent ring and F I the class of all FP-injective left R-modules. It is shown that wD(R) <= n (n >= 1) if and only if every nth F I-syzygy of a left R-module is FP-injective; and wD(R) <= n (n >= 2) if and only if every (n - 2)th F I-syzygy in a minimal F I-resolution of a left R-module has an FP-injective cover with the unique mapping property. Some results for the weak global dimension of commutative coherent rings are also given.

Abstract:The classes of FP-injective and weakly quasi-Frobenius rings are investigated. The properties for both classes of rings are closely linked with embedding of finitely presented modules in fp-flat and free modules respectively. Using these properties, we describe the classes of coherent CF and FGF-rings. Moreover, it is proved that the group ring R(G) is FP-injective (resp. weakly quasi-Frobenius) if and only if the ring R is FP-injective (resp. weakly quasi-Frobenius) and the group G is locally finite.

Abstract:Let R be a ring such that all flat R -modules have finite strongly FP-injective dimension. We obtain that the class of all Gorenstein projective modules forms a left-hand class of complete and hereditary cotosion pair. As applications, we prove that the same behavior holds for the class of all weak Gorenstein flat modules. We also obtain a characterization of global Gorenstein flat-cotorsion dimension of rings in terms of weak Gorenstein flat modules.

Abstract:In this paper we characterize the relative Gorenstein weak global dimension of the generalized Gorenstein $\mathrm{FP}_n$-flat $R$-modules and Projective Coresolved $\mathrm{FP}_n$-flat $R$-modules recently studied by S. Estrada, A. Iacob, and M. A. Pérez. As application we prove that the weak global dimension that comes from the Gorenstein $\mathrm{FP}_n$-flat modules is finite over a Gorenstein $n$-coherent ring and coincide with the flat dimension of the right $\mathrm{FP}_n$-injective $R$-modules. This result extends the known for Gorenstein flat modules over Iwanaga-Gorenstein and Ding-Chen rings. We also show that there is a close relationship between the global dimensions of the generalized Gorenstein $\mathrm{FP}_n$-projectives and $\mathrm{FP}_n$-injectives and the relative Gorenstein weak global dimension presented here, obtaining in the process a balanced pair.

Abstract:Recently, Hu et al. [16] introduced the notion of Gorenstein FP-injective modules and investigated a notion of Gorenstein FP-injective dimension for complexes. Let R be a left coherent ring and D-b(R-Mod) the bounded derived category of left R-modules. It is proved that the quotient triangulated category of the subcategory of D-b(R-Mod) consisting of complexes with both finite Gorenstein FP-injective dimension and FP-projective dimension by the bounded homotopy category of FP-projective-injective left R-modules is triangle-equivalent to the stable category < of the Frobenius category of all Gorenstein FP-injective and FP-projective left R-modules. Note that a similar argument is also valid for the case of Gorenstein injective left R-modules. We extend a triangle equivalence established by Beligiannis involving Gorenstein injective left R-modules from rings with finite left Gorenstein global dimension to arbitrary rings.

Abstract:AbstractIn this paper, strongly Gorenstein flat modules are introduced and investigated. An R-module M is called strongly Gorenstein flat if there is an exact sequence ⋯→P1→P0→P0→P1→⋯ of projective R-modules with M=ker (P0→P1) such that Hom(−,F) leaves the sequence exact whenever F is a flat R-module. Several well-known classes of rings are characterized in terms of strongly Gorenstein flat modules. Some examples are given to show that strongly Gorenstein flat modules over coherent rings lie strictly between projective modules and Gorenstein flat modules. The strongly Gorenstein flat dimension and the existence of strongly Gorenstein flat precovers and pre-envelopes are also studied.

Abstract:Let R be a left coherent ring, (R)omega a Wakamatsu tilting module and S = End((R)omega) a right coherent ring. It is shown that the FP-injective dimensions of (R)omega and omega(S) are identical provided both of them are finite. Abstract:Let H be a finite dimensional Hopf algebra and A be an algebra over a fixed field k. Firstly, it is proved that the left FP-projective dimension is invariant under cleft extensions when H is semisimple and A is left coherent. Secondly, using (co)induction functors, we study the relations between FP-projective dimensions in A#H-Mod and the counterparts in A(H)-Mod. Finally, we characterize the FP-projective preenvelopes (resp., precovers) under H*-extensions and cleft extensions, respectively.
