Abstract:Inappropriate selection of knowledge transfer media is a risk source of knowledge intellectual property in collaborative innovation.Based on the theory of media richness,it firstly analyzes the mechanism of knowledge transfer media incurring knowledge intellectual property risk.It finds out that knowledge transfer media are inducement,and the behaviors of cooperative firms are direct cause of intellectual property risk,and knowledge attributes and collaborative context moderate the relationship.Then,it analyzes the forms of intellectual property risks in detail from the perspectives of feedback,multiple cues,language variety,and personal focus.It points out that the same intellectual property risk may be caused by different media attributes.So it is important for firms to analyze media attributes in order to prevent intellectual property risks.Finally,based on the mechanism of knowledge transfer media incurring knowledge intellectual property risk,it puts forward management enlightenments of risk prevention from four aspects including transfer media,partner,knowledge attributes and partner relationship.
