Biological Characteristics and Chemical Control of Drosicha Corpulenta in Southwest Guizhou

Abstract:The biological characteristics and chemical control methods of Drosicha corpulenta were studied to provide a reference for controlling Drosicha corpulenta in garden plants in Southwest Guizhou.The results show that Drosicha corpulenta occurrs one generation in a year,its eggs in the soil layer with 10 cm depth,soil crack,rock crack and haystack begin to hatch in the middle ten-day period of January,its nymphs molt from the middle ten-day period of March to the first ten-day period of April,its adults begin to emerge from the last ten-day period of April,to mate in the middle ten-day period of May and to lay eggs from the last ten-day period of May to the last ten-day period of August.The male nymphs begin to pupate in the first ten-day period of April after the second molting.The female nymphs after the second molting keep intake and turn into adults from the last ten-day period of April to the first ten-day period of May after the third molting.40% Supraeide erflulsitlable or 40% Dimethoate emulsifier is of the good control effect on Drosicha corpulenta and its control effect is above 90% at 7d after spraying these chemical agents.
