Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of the interval between rupture of the fetal membranes and delivery on maternal and fetal outcomes.Methods:331 women with premature rupture of membranes were divided into subgroups according to the interval between rupture of the fetal membranes and delivery;the amounts of postpartum blood loss, the rates of cesarean section, the incidences of chorioamnionitis, the hospitalization times after delivery,Apgar scores of neonates and admission rates of neonates in the subgroups were analyzed statistically and compared. Results:There was no significant difference in the amount of postpartum blood loss, the hospitalization time after delivery,Apgar score of neonates and the incidence of fetal distress among different groups;the rate of cesarean section in the interval between rupture of the fetal membranes and delivery≥60 hours group was 53.8%,which was significantly higher than that in the interval between rupture of the fetal membranes and delivery<12 hours group(P=0.003);the incidences of chorioamnionitis and admission rates of neonates in the interval between rupture of the fetal membranes and delivery 48~60 hours and ≥60 hours group were significantly higher than that in the interval between rupture of the fetal membranes and delivery<12 hours group. Conclusion:The incidences of chorioamnionitis and neonatal complications increase in cases with the interval between rupture of the fetal membranes and delivery>48 hours;for the cases with premature rupture of membranes, active artificial abortion is necessary in order to shorten the interval between rupture of the fetal membranes and delivery and improve the maternal and fetal outcomes.
