Color Doppler flow imaging guided percutaneous biopsy in peripheral pulmonary nodules and pleural masses

Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of CDFI guided percutaneous biopsy in peripheral pulmonary nodules and pleural masses. Methods Forty-five patients were applied with ultrasonically guided percutaneous biopsy who were detected by X-ray and/or CT, and then analyzed by pathology. Results There were 27 patients with concrete lesion around lung and 18 patients in pleura. Forty-six (97.8%) of them were applied with percutaneous biopsy successfully for one time. Nineteen of them were malignant, 24 of them were benign disease. Conclusion Ultrasonically guided percutaneous biopsy is a mininvasive, fast, safe and easy method, and it is important for patients with concrete lesion around lung or in pleura.
