Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to use Clifford monoids to define weak Hopf quivers and to construct the corresponding class of weak Hopf algebras, i.e., the semilattice of graded weak Hopf algebras which were found to be useful in obtaining a regular R-matrix of a quantum double without a quasi-triangular structure. We define weak Hopf quivers and classify the semilattice of graded weak Hopf algebra structures over path coalgebras using weak Hopf quivers. This gives, precisely, a generalization of the classification of the graded weak Hopf algebra structures over path coalgebras using such quivers.

Abstract:The aim of this paper is to study quasi-bicrossed productsand a especially quantum quasi-doubles. Firstly, we constructone new kind of quasi-bicrossed products by weak Hopf algebrasand then devote a brief discussion to this matter. And, wediscuss the conditions for quasi-bicrossed products to possessthe structure of almost weak Hopf algebras, containing the caseof a special smash product. At the end, we give some propertieson the quantum quasi-double, respectively on the quasi-R-isomorphism, the representation-theoretic interpretation andthe regularity of the quasi-R-matrix.

Abstract:We prove a universal characterization of Hopf algebras among cocommutative bialgebras over a field: a cocommutative bialgebra is a Hopf algebra precisely when every split extension over it admits a join decomposition. We also explain why this result cannot be extended to a non-cocommutative setting.

Abstract:We introduce a finite‐dimensional basic and split weak Hopf algebra H over an algebraically closed field k with strongly graded Jacobson radical r .We obtain some structures of a finite‐dimensional basic and split semilattice graded weak Hopf algebra ,and observe that there exists a finite Clifford monoid S which is isomorphic to the set of all the isomorphism classes of 1‐dimensional H‐modules such that H/r≌ kS* .We also introduce the notion of weak covering quiver whose path algebra admits a structure of semilattice graded weak Hopf algebra ,and classify the path algebra corresponding to the weak covering quiver .Furthermore ,we prove that ,for a finite‐dimensional basic semilattice graded weak Hopf algebra H over an algebraically closed field k with strongly graded radical ,there exists a weak covering quiver Γ such that kΓ/I≌ H ,where the ideal I is generated by the paths of length l≥2 .

Abstract:We describe the split extension classifiers in the semi-abelian category of cocommutative Hopf algebras over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. The categorical notions of centralizer and of center in the category of cocommutative Hopf algebras is then explored. We show that the categorical notion of center coincides with the one that is considered in the theory of general Hopf algebras.

Abstract:The theory of weak Hopf algebras is a development of the theory of Hopf algebras, which is important in the theory of quantum groups and the related theory of mathematical physics. In this paper, we give a survey of this theory and its applications.Firstly, we review some concepts related to weak Hopf algebras and their relationship and moreover, some algebraical structures. Secondly, we collect the generalizations of quantum double, i.e. quantum quasi-double and quantum G-double, constructed from some certain weak Hopf algebras so as to obtain a class of singular solutions of the quantum Yang-Baxter equation (QYBE). Their properties are also introduced in this part. Thirdly, as the important examples of weak Hopf algebras, some weaken quantized enveloping algebra are given which are associated with some generalizations of Lie algebra, such as generalized Kac-Moody algebra, Borcherds superalgebras. Moreover, their algebraic structures are discussed such that one can understand them clearly. Finally, some generalized notions of tensor category are introduced including pre-tensor category and weak tensor category and their braidings. They can be realized respectively from the categories of representations of the related classes of weak Hopf algebras and their quantum quasi-doubles. As the categorical version of a (singular) solutions of the QYBE, a general Yang-Baxter operator is studied. In summary, we list the diagrams of relations among these kinds of categories.

Abstract:Generalization of Hopf algebraslq (2) by weakening the invertibility of the generatorK, i.e., exchanging its invertibilityKK −1=1 to the regularity K$\bar K$K=K is studied. Two weak Hopf algebras are introduced: a weak Hopf algebrawslq (2) and aJ-weak Hopf algebravslq (2) which are investigated in detail. The monoids of group-like elements ofwslq (2) andvslq (2) are regular monoids, which supports the general conjucture on the connection betweek weak Hopf algebras and regular monoids. A quasi-braided weak Hopf algebraŪqw is constructed fromwslq (2). It is shown that the corresponding quasi-R-matrix is regular Rw $\hat R$ wRw=Rw.
Invariant properties of representations under cleft extensions

Abstract:The main aim of this paper is to give the invariant properties of representations of algebras under cleft extensions over a semisimple Hopf algebra. Firstly, we explain the concept of the cleft extension and give a relation between the cleft extension and the crossed product which is the approach we depend upon. Then, by making use of them, we prove that over an algebraically closed field k , for a finite dimensional Hopf algebra H which is semisimple as well as its dual H * , the representation type of an algebra is an invariant property under a finite dimensional H -cleft extension. In the other part, we still show that over an arbitrary field k , the Nakayama property of a k -algebra is also an invariant property under an H -cleft extension when the radical of the algebra is H -stable.

Abstract:We first introduce the definitions of weak semi-Hopf group coalgebras, weak group entwining structures and weak group coalgebra Galois extensions, then we state that any weak group coalgebra. Galois extension induces a weak group entwining map compatible with the right group coaction. Notice that when the group is trivial our results axe just those of weak entwining structures in [3], at the same time they are also a generalization of group coalgebra Galois extensions and group entwining structures introduced by Shuan-hong Wang in [9].

Abstract:For a semisimple quasi-triangular Hopf algebra [Formula: see text] over a field [Formula: see text] of characteristic zero, and a strongly separable quantum commutative [Formula: see text]-module algebra [Formula: see text], we show that [Formula: see text] is a weak Hopf algebra, and it can be embedded into a weak Hopf algebra [Formula: see text]. With these structures, [Formula: see text] is the monoidal category introduced by Cohen and Westreich, and [Formula: see text] is tensor equivalent to [Formula: see text]. If [Formula: see text] is in the Müger center of [Formula: see text], then the embedding is a quasi-triangular weak Hopf algebra morphism. This explains the presence of a subgroup inclusion in the characterization of irreducible Yetter–Drinfeld modules for a finite group algebra.

Abstract:The major purpose of this paper is to construct a weak Hopf algebra with grading from a family of Hopf algebras, and then to gain a related quantum G-double with regular R-matrix. First, over a field k, we introduce a so-called semilattice graded weak Hopf algebra H=⊕α∈YHα. Then the quantum G-double D′(H) of H is obtained in case that H is commutative. Moreover, it is shown that D′(H) is semisimple (respectively, von Neumann regular) if and only if H is a semisimple (respectively, von Neumann regular) Hopf algebra. At last, a nontrivial example of semilattice graded weak Hopf algebras is obtained.

Abstract:In[3]and[6],the Hopf algebra structures of path algebra and path coalgebra on a Hopf quiver and a covering quiver respect to a weight sequence respectively were introduced independently.The main aim of this paper is to show the dually one-to-one correspondent relations between their structures(see Theorems 2.1 and 2.4).As applications,firstly,the authors obtain some important results about the Hopf algebra structure on the quotient of path algebra on a cycle;then,they prove that the Sweedler's fourdimensional Hopf algebra H4 is not only quasi-triangular but also co-quasi-triangular.Lastly,they characterize the graded automorphism group of the Hopf algebras on the path algebra of a Schurian covering quiver, according to that on the path coalgebra of a Schurian Hopf quiver.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce almost $\cal D$-split sequences and establish an elementary but somewhat surprising connection between derived equivalences and Auslander-Reiten sequences via BB-tilting modules. In particular, we obtain derived equivalences from Auslander-Reiten sequences (or $n$-almost split sequences), and Auslander-Reiten triangles.

Abstract:We analyze the conductance of the quantum point contact containing large localized spin J. The additional plateau is formed on a ballistic conductance staircase if only one propagating channel is rendered conducting. The conductance value at this plateau is shown to depend strongly on J and decrease from 3e^2/2h to e^2/h when J increases from 1/2 to infinity, which is in a good agreement with the experimental observations [D.J. Reilly, et al, Phys. Rev. B 63, 121311 (2001)].

Abstract:Anti-cocommutativity was introduced by Wang, Zhuang, Zhang (2013) in their paper Coassociative Lie algebras. Since universal enveloping algebras of Lie algebras are connected Hopf algebras, we extend enveloping algebras using the notion of anti-cocommutative elements. This concept is the main focus of this thesis. We separate the results (Chapter 4) into four parts: 1) Lie algebras containing anti-cocommutative elements; 2) Extending enveloping algebras using anti-cocommutative elements; 3) A global dimension problem for connected Hopf algebras; 4) Properties of the antipode of some connected Hopf algebras.

Abstract:Let H be a cocommutative Hopf algebra acting on an algebra A. Assuming the base field to be algebraically closed and the H-action on A to be integral, that is, it is given by a coaction of some Hopf subalgebra of the finite dual H∘ that is an integral domain, we stratify the prime spectrum Spec A in terms of the prime spectra of certain commutative algebras. For arbitrary H-actions in characteristic 0, we show that the largest H-stable ideal of A that is contained in a given semiprime ideal of A is semiprime as well.

Abstract:We prove that the direct sum of all homology groups of the integral general linear groups with Steinberg module coefficients form a commutative Hopf algebra, in particular a free graded commutative algebra. We use this to construct new infinite families of unstable cohomology classes of $SL_n(\mathbb Z)$.
