Abstract:We believe that consumption is an important area in people's lives and is a basic building block in the organization of our society. Basically, we want consumer happiness to represent the pleasure individuals draw from exchanging their money for goods and services. Therefore we stress the importance of the hedonic perspective of consumption by creating the consumer happiness construct. The theoretical developments utilized within the study are drawn from linguistics. The analysis provides evidence that consumer happiness can be affected by brand, service quality, perceived value and consumer involvement. So the companies and marketers can think over the four ways which is got from the study to improve the level of consumer happiness.

Abstract:The conceptualization of happiness varies across different cultures. In Chinese culture, happiness includes oneself and hinges on others. Chinese social development has influenced psychological traditionality (PT), psychological modernity (PM), and personal happiness. Our study recruited 450 participants to examine the different happiness levels in Chinese students with diverse PT and PM. The results indicate that individuals scoring higher in PT and PM reported higher life satisfaction. Moreover, individuals scoring higher in PT reported more positive emotions, fewer negative emotions, and greater social well-being, while those scoring higher in PM reported more negative emotions and greater relationship happiness. The happiness of Chinese students comprised individual, relational, and societal levels and happiness at different levels related to Chinese PT and PM. The present study may promote cross-cultural understanding and potentially inform interventions for individual happiness within positive psychology.

Abstract:The survey data collected from individual investors indicate that about 46% of investors reported they felt happy from the investment in stock market.The overall happiness of life,age,investment return,and the amount of investment directly affect the well-being of investors from investment.The happier people consider themselves in general life,the more happiness they can get from their investment.There is an U-shape relationship between the investors' age and their happiness in investment.Both young and old investors get more happiness than middle-aged investors.Long-run rather than short-run investment return has a positive effect on happiness.The relative amount of investment compared with the total family asset is positively associated with the investment happiness,while the absolute amount of investment is negatively associated with the happiness.In addition,cognitive bias,investment objectives,personality and other related factors can affect the investment return or the overall happiness in life,and they can indirectly affect the happiness in investment.

Abstract:The last decade has witnessed an emergence of a new scientific discipline devoted to study human happiness.It units efforts from vast different disciplines such as psychology,sociology,anthropology,economics,political science and life science to explore common themes of understanding and promoting human well-being and human strengths.The primary goal of this approach is to help people achieving happiness by distributing resources effectively and improving harmony between individual psychology and social-cultural environments.There are mainly four sets of questions in this new area of research.The first set concerns the relationships between perceptual,cognitive,emotional experiences and human happiness.The second set investigates the factors benefits human well-beings and the skills of acquiring happiness.The third set are empirical studies that have discovered the neural and biological mechanisms of happiness,developed measurement of happiness and well-being,and untangled the complex relationships of happiness with money,intimacy and human culture.The fourth line of research are applied studies that focus on the positive effects of happiness on individual health,creativity,work productivity and social stability.All these endeavors would fascinate the rapid development of the science of happiness in China and beyond.

Abstract:Broad categories have been suggested for the events which contribute to happiness. In 1943 Maslow might have argued that people are happy when they meet or continue to meet their basic needs in his hierarchy of needs. A survey was given to 150 college students to assess which of Maslow's levels of need is perceived to be most important to happiness. Falling or staying in love was chosen significantly more often than the other choices by undergraduates of both genders. These results suggest that love is considered to be an extremely important contributor to the feeling of happiness among college students.

Abstract:This study examines the trajectories of hedonic and eudaimonic forms of happiness across college life. Analyzing the Beijing College Student Panel Survey, we find that: (1) Academic performance, extraversion, internship, and health status all have a significant and positive correlation with both types of happiness, while one fatalistic orientation reveals a negative effect; (2) Eudaimonic happiness can be specifically dampened by romantic relationship, and hedonic happiness is specifically weakened by student association participation. Students majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), males, and ethnic minorities have advantages of hedonic happiness. (3) With regard to changes across college life, the strength of correlations between eudaimonic happiness and the variables of health status and academic performance longitudinally decline, but one's fatalistic orientation and sense of mastery become increasingly relevant. For hedonic happiness, the advantage of the STEM students over the non-STEM ones is gradually narrowed; what are also counteracted are the detrimental effects of the fatalistic orientation and student association participation. The positive role of academic performance for hedonic happiness is longitudinally strengthened, but the disadvantage of female students deteriorates.

Abstract:Background: In the contemporary academic milieu, an array of erudite investigations has meticulously delved into the ramifications of social media paradigms on the nuances of modern societal interactions. Predominantly, these scholarly endeavors have harnessed quantitative methodologies to discern both the advantageous and detrimental implications of social media. Notwithstanding these extensive analyses, there appears to be a conspicuous lacuna in the literature about the subjective repercussions of social media on the well-being and contentment of tertiary education students. In light of this gap, the present qualitative exploration seeks to elucidate the perceptions of Chinese collegiate individuals vis-à-vis the influence of social media platforms on their experiential happiness. Method: Guided by interpretative phenomenological analysis (Jonathan et al., 2022) [1], we conducted 3 semi-structured interviews with 5 university students. Result: Using an interpretive phenomenology analysis approach four themes. They are (1) The Paradox of Temperance and Indulgence, (2) Identity Construction and Presentation, (3) Social Support and Connection, and (4) Social Comparison and Self-Evaluation. Discussion: Findings suggest that the individual well-being of college students may be affected by ambivalence between moderate and indulgent use of social media, social media interactions to maintain and enhance personal identity, and comparisons between individuals and certain online groups. Therefore, the government, higher education institutions, and college students should work together to build a safe and happy university life.
