Abstract:] The progress of continuing medical education is a mayor part of the development of the health protection.Continuing medical educations are projects of life-long study of new theories and techniques.This article summed and compared the categories,performances,effects of continuing medical education projects in special hospitals,analyzed the pros and cons as well,finally came to a conclusion that the management of continuing medical education can be benefited from measures such as improving the basic projects and scientific administration.

Abstract:Continuing medication education for in-service general practitioners (GPs) is a key measure for strengthening the primary health care system, and the department of general medicine in a tertiary general hospital is an important institution undertaking the trainings for GPs. We introduced the development of a staged continuing medical education model for GPs initiated since 2020 by Deqing County Government with Health Bureau of Deqing County in collaboration with Department of General Practice, Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine and medical educations in Deqing, with a detailed description of the three stages of development, namely the formation of medical and educational framework of Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital in cooperation with the Deqing County Government and medical institutions in Deqing, the construction of "Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital-Deqing" regional GPs education community, and the implementation of trainings for GPs in primary care by the education community using a strategy of "hierarchical and progressive teaching, and cyclic strengthening". The development of this model will offer a reference for the construction of a regional GP training model using the cooperative framework between county-level government and medical institutions and the department of general practice in a tertiary general hospital.

Abstract:The author tried to point out the problems of continuing medical education(CME) in our hospital and put forward tentative proposals. It is necessary to define the different standard of credit requirements for different subject. "speaking" should be emphasized particularly for the staff with the intermediate title. Further improvements of CME at department level are necessary. The effective evaluation for CME should be designed seriously.

Abstract:Objective To explore the status of continuing education for nurses in operating rooms,so as to provide bases for the future continuing education.Methods A self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate 100 cases of nurses.Results Among the involved nurses,sixty-nine percent admitted that their aim of attending continuing education was to get the score of continuing education,sixty-eight percent considered that continuing education could improve cooperative competency in surgery,and eighty percent agreed that lack of sufficient time was the main influential factor.The main style of continuing education was lectures in hospitals.Psychology and special competency course were the most expective courses to learn for operating room nurses.Conclusion It is necessary to reform the methods and contents of continuing education for nurses in operating rooms to meet their needs and make them attend continuing education more actively.
Application of seminars in management training for head nurses

Abstract:Objective To study the effect of seminars in the management training for head nurses. Methods The seminars were used in the management training for head nurses. The seminars were held once a month, where the head nurses reported nursing management-related literature in recent 5 years. The self-evaluations over nursing management ability as well as the effect of seminars before implementation of seminars were compared with those after that. Results The abilities in literature retrieval, literature analysis, literature use in directing their management, the electronic courseware development and communication were all significantly promoted (all P<0.01). 57.1% of them believed that seminars could stimulate their learning interest, create the learning ambience, cultivate the critical thoughts, widen the management knowledge and direct the clinical nursing management. Conclusions Seminars may be beneficial for creation of a learning ambience, resource sharing, fire up the learning interest, exercise versatility for head nurses and lay a foundation for further research. It is effective and feasible in head nurses training.
Health sciences librarians' instructional engagement in continuing education: a scoping review

Abstract:Objective: Healthcare professionals (HCPs) have an ongoing need for continuing education (CE) while Health Science Librarians (HSLs), accustomed to supporting a range of learning needs in a variety of contexts, are well situated to provide CE that addresses information retrieval, literacy, management, and more. To better understand the extent of HSL delivered CE activities, we undertook a scoping review to determine how HSLs instruct practicing HCPs in support of their CE. Methods: We searched for published and unpublished literature sources including PubMed (NCBI), Embase (Elsevier); Dissertations and Theses Global (ProQuest); CINAHL (EBSCO); Library, Information Science and Technology Abstracts (EBSCO); and Library Literature and Information Science Full Text (EBSCO). To identify unpublished sources, we searched the internet using Google and contacted two health sciences library listservs. We also performed backwards and forwards searching of our included sources. Results: Our database searches yielded 4842 sources, and we retrieved an additional 579 sources through supplementary retrieval methods. After duplicate removal and screening, we included 105 sources in this review. The included sources were published between 1970 to 2021 and covered a range of topics such as searching methods and tools, critical appraisal, and many more. Those related to evidence-based practice (EBP) appeared around 2001 and bibliometrics and bioinformatics arose after 2016. Publications depicting HSLs teaching CE most commonly occurred in academic settings. The most common population taught was nurses, followed by physicians. Most sources did not report using an information literacy framework or instructional design model, undertaking needs assessments, or reporting formal objectives or assessment. Conclusion: While HSLs are active supporters of EBP, we need to apply the same principles to our own professional practice. Formal structure of programming and program assessment combined with clear, detailed reporting can help to build a more robust evidence base to support future CE provision.

Abstract:The quality of healthcare service in inpatient departments of general hospitals is directly correlated with the satisfaction of the patients and it is an important influential factor of hospital performance. Based on interviews with sampled inpatients and their family members in a general hospital in Hangzhou, the service needs were collected and was graded as to their importance. Quality function deployment method was used to extract the quality improvement factors and the importance degree, based on which we found the most significant service improvement measures are the establishment of patient evaluation system, the reasonable arrangements of physical examinations, the inpatient environment improvement and rational distribution of the different departments.

Abstract:E-learning has been widely applied in several aspects of hospital management, including clinical skills and infection control training, patient communication, emergency response management and so on. Based on international and domestic experience, we summarized the significant superiority of applying e-learning in hospital management and brought forward the main contents and steps of implementing e-learning in hospital management. In conclusion, implementing e-learning in hospital management through the specific phases and steps could contribute greatly to improving core-competitiveness of hospital management.

Abstract:Objective: This study aimed to investigate the status of nursing continu- ing education, which could provide suggestions for hospital managing the continuing education course. Methods: The nurses, who attended nursing continuing education on March 30th 2007 in a Grade 3 Class A hospital, accepted a questionnaire investigation. Results: Nurses lacked cognition of the significance of continuing education and achieved the credit hours for the requirements of national policy. Overload and shifting work was the major influencing factor of credit hours completion. The most required knowledge of the nurses was new theory, new knowledge, emergency and intensified care knowledge. Conclusion: The research indicates that nursing managers should improve the continu- ing education management model, arrange the courses logically and create more learn- ing ways. Such education does play a role in providing position training for employees.

Abstract:Professional degree education of Master of Library and Information Science will bring some new challenges to training senior personnel of libraries and information agencies,including way to balance the two degree education in the case of occupational and scholarly training,to guide students to fullfil the multiple expectations of employers,community groups and students themselves,and to avoid repeating the way of "new name but the old plan".The authors also discuss the conception of the two degree education,as well as the differences existing in training objectives,curriculum,teaching methods,dissertations,and teaching staff of the two training systems,and emphasize the role of management.The authors also suggest paying attention to properly handling the relationships in promoting the professional education of master's degree at the same time.

Abstract:Medical education is a vital factor for people to accept good health services. Clinical education plays an impor-tant role in the whole process of medical education, while youth clinical teacher is the backbone in the development of medical education. However, because the shortage of clinical education management system, weak awareness of teaching, and lack basic skills of teaching etc, the improvement of clinical education is restricted in non-affiliated hospitals. There-fore, this study tries to analyze the problems existing in the clinical teachers, including the management system, strengthen-ing training, make evaluation and incentive measures etc, and proposes countermeasures on this basis.
