Abstract:With the change of social structure brought about by the transformation of our society and the awakening of public awareness of their rights,governments must promote public participation in science and technology decision-making. Orderly public participation is the basis and guarantee to promote science and technology decision-making more scientific and democratic.But many obstacles such as our traditional institutional,political and cultural environment,lack of the systems,lack of public capacity for participation hinder public participation in science and technology decision-making.Therefore,China should take measures to promote public participation:change idea of decision-making,build systems for participating,increase public ability for participating.
