Abstract:For the superior limit of the incremental supremum of the 2-parameter Wiener process, there have already been very general results corresponding to that of 1-parameter Wiener process. However, the research on the inferior limit seems not to be deeply made up to now. This paper aims at getting a theorem about this problem under weaker conditions. And a conclusion corresponding to one-parameter case leads to a kind of generalization of the existing result.

Abstract:Some probability inequalities are obtained, and some liminf results are established for a two-parameter Wiener process by using these inequalities. The results obtained improve those of Lacey (1989) and get the watershed between the Chung type laws of the iterated logarithm and the Lacey type laws of the iterated logarithm.

Abstract:This paper proposes estimators for the parameters of an explosive fractional Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process. The asymptotic properties for the diffusion estimators are developed under the in-fill asymptotic scheme, while the asymptotic properties for the drift estimators are developed under the double asymptotic scheme for the full range of the Hurst parameter. The double asymptotic distribution of the estimator of the persistency parameter explicitly depends on the initial condition. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed estimators, and the asymptotic distributions provide a good approximation in finite samples. An empirical application is presented to demonstrate the model's usefulness and the practical value of the asymptotic theory.

Abstract:In this paper, we first obtain a Bernstein type of concentration inequality for stochastic integrals of multivariate point processes under some conditions through the Doléans-Dade exponential formula, and then derive a uniform exponential inequality using a generic chaining argument. As a direct consequence, we obtain an upper bound for a sequence of discrete time martingales indexed by a class of functionals. Finally, we apply the uniform exponential bound to nonparametric maximum likelihood estimators and provide a rate of convergence in terms of Hellinger distance, which is an improvement of earlier work of van de Geer (1995).

Abstract:This article presents limit theorems of the multipower variation based on a generalized difference for the fractional integral process with jumps observed in high frequency. In particular, we obtain the large number laws for threshold multipower variation and multipower variation and the associated central limit theorems. The limit theorems are applied to estimate Hurst parameter, and the consistence and asymptotic distribution of the estimator are established. These results will provide some new statistical tools to analyze long-memory effect in high-frequency situation.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce two new matrix stochastic processes: fractional Wishart processes and $\varepsilon$-fractional Wishart processes with integer indices which are based on the fractional Brownian motions and then extend $\varepsilon$-fractional Wishart processes to the case with non-integer indices. Both of two kinds of processes include classic Wishart processes when the Hurst index $H$ equals $\frac{1}{2}$ and present serial correlation of stochastic processes. Applying $\varepsilon$-fractional Wishart processes to financial volatility theory, the financial models account for the stochastic volatilities of the assets and for the stochastic correlations not only between the underlying assets' returns but also between their volatilities and for stochastic serial correlation of the relevant assets.
