On the Plants and Plant Landscape in Huajing

Abstract:Huajing is considered as the earliest and most valuable monographs on ornamental plants in the Chinese history,which recorded and described a large number of ornamental plants and their distribution,breeding,cultivation and application.The plant species were sorted out and comments were made after having read the book through and referred to extensive literatures.Methods of plant cultivation were briefly introduced.A detailed discussion and analysis on the plant landscape described in the book was made in hopes of providing some useful reference for readers＇ application of landscape plants.
