Abstract:Based on the non-arbitrage theory and the assumption of the heterogeneous preference of market participants, in this paper we have, with the consideration of the cash dividend, built a model of fluctuating values(FV). We would like to point out that the fluctuation, although independent of volatile value,is still the possible influencing factor of stock prices and earnings, and that the FV value may be positive or negative, that is to say,the vacillation of stock prices may not only be a risk, but also a value.Given the same condition, the cash dividend rate is the most significant influencing factor of FV,the higher the cash dividend level, the lower the FV.Generally, the effect of the fluctuation rate on FV will rise at the beginning and then drop, but the concrete expression of this effect varies with the dividend level;a optimal volatility curve can be derived. In addition the time parameter has an effect on FV,but the initial price of the stock has nothing to do with FV.In this article,we have also made a preliminary analysis of the mechanism of the concrete impact of the fluctuation on stock prices in the context of the heterogeneousness of market participants.
