Abstract:The mechanical optimization design is a very important modern design method,can find out the best way from all designs and increases the efficiency and quality of design.The mechanical optimization design is a difficult problem due to the complex structure of modern equipment.Developing new optimization design approaches by using new theories is an important work of the mechanical optimization design domain.Based on a lot of documents and references,the concept,purpose,and necessity of the mechanical optimization design were expatiated in this paper,the features of the mechanical optimization design were summarized,theory,approach and present situations of modern mechanical optimization design have been discussed from the two aspects of setting up mathematical models and solving algorithm,and several scientific questions that should be furthermore studied in the modern mechanical optimization design domain were put forward.
