Research and Practice in Arousing Students' Initiative in College Chemistry

Abstract:Based on its course characteristics and teaching practices,we have improved our teaching approach in following ways to stimulate students' interest in learning.First,the curriculum framework is made clear for students to understand.Second,teaching content is improved and new materials are added.Third,the vividness of classroom teaching is applied: in teaching,the methods of discussion and heuristic teaching are applied for students to join in.Fourth,reforms are made in experiment contents and experimental teaching to arouse the students' initiative.The performance shows that the approach improves the students' interest in learning,enhances the ability of analyzing and solving problems,and has achieved desired purpose of improving the quality of teaching and culturing students' scientific quality.
