Abstract:Energy consumption monitor platform,as an important method towards the goal of building energy conservation, has been popularized in universities. In order to examine whether the platform has brought substantial energy efficiency to buildings on campus, energy consumption levels between an international students' dorm building and a domestic students' dorm building with the platform in a row of three years were compared, and significant wastes were found in the electricity utilization of the international students' dormitory. Another survey about the dorm managers' managements on electricity consumption was conducted, and it's found that dorm managers hardly control the students' electricity consumption behaviors, for the difficulty to obtain energy consumption data. A further investigation on the penetration rate of the basic managerial personnel using this platform showed that they had few chances to get the data generated from the platform. It's concluded that energy consumption monitor platform has no substantial effects on improving the energy efficiency of students' dormitories, and energy consumption monitor data is useful to the electricity consumption managements by dorm managers to achieve the goal of energy conservation. University buildings now all have energy wastes to different extents, so allowing the grassroots building managers to get access to the energy consumption monitor platform while providing them with push data and guidance suggestions will benefit the energy conservation from the perspective of behavior and management, which eventually leads to real energy conservation effects.

Abstract:According to the gradual expansion of power grid scale and rapid development of computer technology, the dispatching automation and control system has played an increasingly prominent role in technique support and guarantee for power grid. In this paper we designed a kind of operating monitoring and evaluation software for the smart grid dispatching and control system, and described several key technologies in detail, which includes index acquisition, data statistical analysis and diagnosis, on-line alarming and interface display. The acquired data is composed of FES information, basic data, application and service status, data consistency, which can fully characterize the operating state of the system and provide accurate and reliable data source. The software has been applied and empirically proved in some dispatching organizations to entrance the operation and maintenance level for the system.

Energy saving effect of hotel central air conditioning systems with energy efficiency management system

Abstract:An architecture energy efficiency tracking, control and management system was proposed for energy conservation of the central air conditioning system of a star hotel. And its energy-saving effect was detected with three departments participated in, Shandong Institute of Metrology, Shandong Energy Test Centre, and Shandong Institute of Supervision & Inspection on Product Quality, to assure the authenticity and reliability. With the system, the power saving rate decreased in July and August because of steady load and efficient equipment, which shows that energy efficiency management system changes with the outside temperature and energy saving control system can track changes with load automatically and adjust dynamically. Real-time detection shows average power saving rate is 41.05% in summer (May, June, July and August are summer condition) and 46.8% in winter (December and January are winter condition). The following aspects are discussed, first, the unreasonable original design of equipment matching, second, the improvement of equipment efficiency under part-load condition, third, the energy saving potential of dynamic management and operation system, and last, the necessity of energy efficiency management system to be modularized, refined and intelligentized.

Abstract:Through the active investigation of load conditions and energy consumption of most academic buildings, combined with the characteristics of routine use of academic buildings, we designed and developed an energy-saving system for academic buildings. This project uses a microcontroller as the control chip to control the energy saving of the lighting system and temperature and humidity control system in the classrooms and hallways of the teaching building. Under the premise of meeting the daily needs of teaching and normal operation, the wasteful status of unoccupied lights and long-lasting lights is reduced. Experiments show that the design runs stably and causes a beneficial energy-saving effect, realizing energy-saving control in other stages of the teaching building.

Abstract:With the demand increasing of saving energy and decreasing pollution,on-line monitoring and control of power equipment becomes very important.A set of power equipment monitoring and control system based on WebAccess is designed in this paper,which is used to monitor and control equipment running status.Data communication between monitoring software and field equipments is realized by using RS-485 and Ethernet.The key technologies,such as implementation of data communication and complex action script,are presented in this paper.Furthermore,process pictures,control pictures and trend pictures are designed.Running results show that the control system is reliable and realizes on-line monitoring of power equipment status.

Abstract:Currently,there are problems such as slow development and lacking consistency in energy monitoring and energy management in paper enterprises in China.The purpose is to reduce energy consumption,strengthen the scientific management of enterprises and improve enterprise's efficiency.Based on deep understanding of certain paper enterprise organization,energy monitoring and management system was designed to realize multilayer network.The system of multilayer network includes three layers,in which the bottom is on-site-equipment-monitoring layer,the middle is process-system-monitoring layer,and the top is energy-monitoring-management layer.Each layer has clear and uniform tasks from on-site-equipment arrangement to communication network planning,time monitoring and statistical analysis.

Abstract:In the standards and criterions of many countries, the evaluating index of energy efficient buildings mostly comprises of two types, prescriptive index and performance index. Firstly , the concepts of each type were explained respectively in this paper , and several existed typical evaluating performance indexes and methods of energy2efficient buildings were introduced , also the characteristics of each index were presented. Furthermore , the evaluating indexes and methods used by existing design standards for energy efficiency buildings in China were briefly discussed and some elementary suggestions on the foundation of evaluating index system were analyzed. At last , based on the discussion , a suitable evaluating index system of energy efficient buildings for China could be established , as a result , the energy resources could be saved and the environment could be protected.

Abstract:Deeply understanding of building energy consumption characteristics is the foundation of building energy efficiency retrofits. Since the rule of scientific research building is not clear, 21 scientific research buildings from a university in Shanghai are selected and the buildings actual dynamic performance and sub-metering energy data are obtained from the campus building energy monitoring system. The types, amount, capacity and operation regulation of the main equipment are investigated by field survey. Based on these data, we analyzed the status and characteristics of energy consumption of campus scientific research buildings and also proposed the corresponding energy-saving measures. The results indicate that energy consumption of scientific research building is different due to the discipline. This paper helps to guide the energy efficiency retrofits of buildings on campus.
